Hi there Moms!

Aside from an awesome pot of chili, what are some of your favorite foods you'll be serving/eating during tomorrow's big game (or the SuperBowl in a few weeks)? I would love some last minute food inspiration!

What can I do next?

Chili cheese dip - get a 13 X 9 pan and spread a container of cream cheese over the bottom. Put 1 1/2 - 2 cans of chili without beans then sprinkle shredded cheddar on the top. In the oven for 30 minutes at 350 and you're good to go (each with tortilla chips). Go Bears!

Make your own taco/nacho bars are easy and fun. You can make the meat (beef and/or chicken) ahead of time and just keep it warm in a crockpot or roaster. Then put out hard shelled tacos, soft tortillas, tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, onions, olives, gaucomole, sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, jalapenos, etc....

For sure wings are always a hit...have lots of napkins and wet wipes on hand if you do sauce...boneless wings are easier to manage cleanup.

Also something I make that everyone loves is the old classic recipe for sausage balls - great appetizer and they really don't need sauce.

* 1 (1-pound) package ground sausage
* 3 cups baking mix (recommended: Bisquick)
* 4 cups grated sharp Cheddar
* 1/8 tablespoon pepper

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with vegetable oil cooking spray. Combine all ingredients in a large glass bowl. Mix well with your fingers. The mixture will be very crumbly. Form into 1 inch balls, squeezing the mixture so it holds together, then rolling it between the palms of your hands to form balls. Place the balls on the baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. To prevent sticking, move the balls with a spatula halfway through cooking. So easy!

I don't make the same thing every time, but we have our favorites. A lot of it depends on the weather. If warm enough, I like to grill some brats, onions, and peppers. If cold, I do like chili but we also love to do taco soup. Our favorites are the old standbys though: pizza and boneless wings with a blue cheese and bacon dip I make. This year's superbowl we're doing a beef taco bar, chicken quesadillas (I cook mine with artichokes, a little spinach, onions, pico de gallo, and mixed cheeses), and nachos with bean, cheese, and jalapenos. We've also done the mini toasted sandwiches OR reubens, warm spinach-artichoke dip with baguettes, and a veggie tray with a spicy ranch dip.

We serve taco dip with chips, brats, beer, loose meat sandwiches, Packer cake, cheese and crackers with vension saugages, hot wings..anything is great as long as the food doesn't run out. When we have football parties, people usually help bring a dish. Crock pot recipes are great too. I'm a Green Bay girl...nobody complains with free food!
