JFF: How Much Do You Spend per Week on Gas?

I have a Honda Civic and spend around $50 per week. I am cheap and only put in $25 at a time, especially at the stations that charge more for credit cards!

On a lifestyle note, I am far from a homebody and must leave the house with DD to entertain her and keep me sane. We also live in the boonies so a trip to the store is about 15 miles. Next house, I insist on living a maximum of five miles to civilization!

How about you? What's your fuel expenses, taking into consideration the type of vehicle you drive?

What can I do next?

Ugh 65 dollars a week. Older 2005 volvo suv. No free way driving.. I live in town. Just a lot of hauling kids to school, swim, youth group, play dates... And on and on with errands.

My commute for work is 50+ miles round trip. So is my husbands. We spend a ton of money on gas every month! I drive an SUV and fill my tank every 5 or 6 days at about $60 per tank. My husband has recently purchased a little Ford something car that he drives back and forth to work which has saved us quite a bit of $ on gas b/c his truck is a big, 3/4 ton diesel. (We also live in the boonies :)

We're lucky, since everything is close. We live in the suburbs and car pool. I take hubby to work, son to school, and me to work at the same time. We have a Toyota Corrola. The older one gets the better milelage, but is a 3 door car. (Lock on the back door broke!) I spend $30/week. sometimes less.

During week days I barely drive now, everything is within 5 miles from me so we walk or drive very close.
But I have to drive to the airport twice a week and on weekends we like to go out to many places, so there is were all our gas goes.
We spend $50 a week, sometimes less, we (me) drive a 08 Town and Country.

I drive a Mazda CX-9 and have around a 60-70 mile commute per work day. I spend about $90-120 per week on gas. That amount depends on whether or not we go anywhere fun on the weekends.

I fill up for about fifty bucks every 2 weeks. I work PT so that mileage is pretty low. My husband probably spends double that. So, in all, about $300/mo.

I have a Toyota Camry (basic edition) and spend about $100-125 a week. I live 45 miles away from work so if I have to run an errand, I try to do it on the way home even taking a different route if the store is specific. My husband has a small pick up and he also drive 40 miles to work (each way) so that bill is closer to the $125-150 range. The sad thing is that we have forgone any significant savings in order to be able to drive to work....I need to get this baby potty trained so that bill can at least go down :o)

Little to nothing! I work from home, and the grocery store, pharmacy, our boat club, and bank are all within 1-5 miles. The only place I really ever have to go is once a week to take my son to preK... so I miiiiiight spend $20 every other week. Lucky, I know! I drive a 98 Jeep grand cherokee laredo.

My husband drives about 8 miles to work, but it's in the city, and spends about $50/week on gas. He drives a 98 Jeep cherokee.

Sigh. WAY TOO MUCH. I average $100 a week when I'm teaching and tutoring after work and $60-$80 a week otherwise. I only have to commute to the office once or twice a week but 90-minute round trips for hockey games and other errands locally really add up. My husband spends closer to $200 a week because he works on the road - it helps at tax time because he takes a hefty mileage deduction but it still kills our budget.

ETA I drive a Honda Odyssey and my husband drives a sedan.

I drive a minivan, I am a SAHM but we go out daily for at least a 30 minute drive round trip, because everything is about that far away. I spend about $50 every 2.5 - 3 weeks, but we always use our supermarket points to get money off the gas, too.

We have a truck and a sedan. We probably only spend $10-$15 a week, combined. My husband works only a few blocks from home. We live within 5 or so miles of everything we could possibly need/want.
