JFF Shows on ABC Make No Sense!!

I guess I have too much time on my hands (not the truth, but an active mind I guess!!) and I watch a few shows on ABC.

Anybody watch Last Man Standing with Tim Allen? The oldest daughter lives with them and has a 2 year old son. They have her working at a diner, which I think is so cliche! Her outfit is even very cliche! I wish that considering her parents seem to be doing okay that they would present her taking a few college classes or something. Just my opinion that the single mama working in a diner (which I know does happen) seems so predictable. How long did it take the writers to think that up? :-)

Then... we have Grey's Anatomy. Christina got pregnant by Burke and had a miscarriage. So... then she marries Owen and gets pregnant and has an abortion. I know it's ratings and a story line etc. But, she's a doctor who is determined to follow her career and not have children. She's well aware of all types of birth control. Wouldn't she be using something reliable such as an IUD, the shot, etc?

So..... that's my comments on the shows I watch. What are some things you may have noticed about the shows you watch? I know it all comes down to ratings. Don't tear me apart here, this is just for fun, not some passionate thing I feel. :-) Have a good day everyone!

What can I do next?

Funny. Besides watching NCIS on CBS, all of my shows are on ABC! It's nice to just kind of drift into another world for awhile..

Good points.

I'm still trying to understand how Monica and Rachel were BFFs growing up to the point where Ross had been infatuated w/Rachel all his life, but yet, Monica wasn't even invited to Rachel's wedding on Friends. I think when I can figure all that out, then everything on TV will make sense to me....

I watch Vampire Diaries and realized the other day that the past two seasons have only covered one year in the story-- and it was a heck of a year!! That kinda irritated me. I like my shows to be in real time.

I really like it when the shows cross over with each other. I'm convinced that everyone in TV land know each other and are on the same plane of existence. So I LOVE when the CSI's or NCIS's go visit each other.

And there was Lost.... I managed to make it through almost the entire series before I couldn't take it any longer. Talk about crazy.

Last Man Standing....Vanessa and Michael (parents) DO encourage her to go to college - it's backhanded, but they do. It's the 2nd week of it - give it a chance. I love Tim Allen.

I've not watched any of Grey's this season - it's all on TV. I didn't watch the season finale last season - it just was too...TOO for me. Does that make sense? I'm going to watch it this weekend. but really. I wouldn't put it past Christina to have an abortion to pursue her career. She changed after the shooting episode.

I'm liking the new show Revenge...I'm not sure how they plan to keep it going more than one season once she extracts her REVENGE...

Castle - love that show too...I love the chemistry between Ric and Beckett.

ha ha, haven't watched the new Tim Allen one. As for Grey's Anatomy, yeah I get what you're saying. I was sooo disappointed in how they handled that.
I like Castle but in real life I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let a writer "in" like that.
Also, Private Practice, mind is blank on her name right now, the one who is with Sam (who doesn't want any kids right now) but she's trying to get pregnant by insemination. So what's gonna happen when she actually gets pregnant..dumb.
I'm sure there are more.

ok i have some strong opinions.

First off, I like the comic Whitney and the show is ok but Definately for grownups.

I want to Love Castle because i love Nathan Fillian, and the writing is cute but i can't stand the girl that plays beckett, Pick a personalitly and stick with it or just get a personality or something Her acting sucks.

Super disappointed in Tim Allen's show. Guess i was expecting a family comdy and I"m not finding anything funny about the whole unwed mom, living at home working in a stupid diner, and the trampy middle daughter. And the thing is, with a little more softness, i think I could handle all of those situations but for some reason it's just not coming off as HAHA funny to me.

not sure what channel it's on but i just started watching Once Upon a TIme or what ever that fairy tale one is called, That seems pretty well done.

Bahaha! To throw in another show - Whitney. She was analyzing the same sort of things when watching a "romantic" movie with her boyfriend.
I don't think we can help but notice the obvious inconsistencies!
Great observations, BTW!
