I am a stay at home mom.. my husband works late most of the time, I would love to be able to meet some moms that I could talk to and maybe get together with every so often for some adult bonding..LOL I have an 11 year old, but to be honest I had her so young, that I just didn't pay attention to the details like I am doing now with my 5 month old. It's like I am a brand new mom, trying to overcome all these new things. At times I feel as if I am not stimulating my little girl enough. At 5 months what is a normal daily routine? Is this age okay to allow them to suck on the baby crackers or waffles for teething and additional nutrional intake? If there is any advice you can offer up.. I am willing to listen.. thanks!!!
I want to thank you everyone for your advice. I have gotten the little one some crackers and she loves them. It's nice to know that there are so many kind people out there that are willing to be friends. I have quite a busy weekend but I look forward to speaking with all of you. My daughter loved the geber baby crackers just watch her because after they chew on them a while they can break. My daughter was 5 monthes when she started them.they should be good

Hi, I'm E. and I have 4 children. None of them are infants anymore (my baby just started school this year) but I remember those days. Nothing wrong with giving your little one those crackers at 5 months. Teething sucks and if that helps her then let it be. It may get messy but that's what little ones do. I live in Norfolk but I am always looking to make new friends.
BTW, when I was 29 I had an 11, 7,5, and 2 yr old so don't think you're doing anything wrong or did anything wrong with your first one. My oldest is going to be 15 next month and all in all, he's a good kid. In high school talking about college *gasp* .

Hey, yes, it is okay to give her the crackers and such for teething. The Gerber crackers are designed to just pretty much dissolve when our little ones are gnawing them. My son is 7 months and has been using them for months. Zwiebacks are great to start off with though. At 5 months I imagine she has taught you a routine that works for her. As long as you give her plenty of love she will develope new skills in her own time. For skill development just pretty much put her on the floor at this point and let her have fun. If she isn't sitting she will be soon, not to mention rolling and in another several months crawling. My little guy is almost crawling, but is currently rolling all over the place.
