Just Need Advice- 3 Month Old Might Be Sick?

So, my little girl is 3.5 months old. She was sleeping through the night in the beginning of the month and then started waking up 2-3 times again. We were contemplating starting cereal in her nightly bottle next week...but now I don't know?
Tuesday night she threw up most of her feedings twice. Once around 10pm and the other at 5am. She also wasn't eating much. She had no fever and seemed very happy Weds morning. So, I tracked her feedings Weds and today. On Thursday she only ate 17oz in a 24 hour period (usually eats about 30-35oz, but Weds night she slept very well; waking up only once at midnight to eat (only 3oz) and today she has only had 14oz so far and she is down for the night. She MIGHT wake up to eat again before midnight, but not likely.
She has had a running nose all week and a little tiny cough sometimes. Again...no fever.
She is having wet diapers and she actually had 3 BM's today which could be considered a little watery than normal, maybe.
I am thinking about taking her into the ped tomorrow, mostly due to her appetite?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I went ahead and took her into the Ped today. She seems to have a tummy virus, so it should go away on it's own. We are switching to Soy formula for a couple days. They said it will break things up. Her poor tummy was just making SO much noise, she has so much gas. She also started having diarrhea today, so I just need to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated...which isn't easy, due to the fact she won't eat much more than 3-4oz every 4-5 hours. We try to feed her more often, but she just wont take it. Hopefully she'll get better over the weekend.
(by the way...Mommy AND Daddy have the tummy bug too! NO FUN this weekend!) :)

Thank you everyone

take her to the doctor, don't second guess it. Don't give cereal yet...she's too young, and at this age their digestive system is too immature and their internal organs are not fully developed yet.

Yes, a baby can be sick, even with no fever. Or sometimes there is fever and no other symptoms.

You just need to take her to the doctor. It is not only her appetite... she has other symptoms too. Tell your Doctor all of them. Also, as a baby develops their sleep patterns do change, especially at growth spurts and developmental changes where they get hungrier and need to feed more and are gaining alertness and in cognitive/physical skills. Sleep patterns are not static in babies...they will change.

A good book is "What To Expect The First Year" by Arlene Eisenberg. I referred to it all the time with my first baby.

All the best,
~Susan

i would say that most likely shes teething (my daughter did that too at her age). it also could be an ear infection. i would get her checked out just for your peace of mind. we also started our daughter on rice cereal about that age also because she was showing the signs of being ready. good luck!

Hi T., she may just be teething, but for peace of mind, I think you are right about calling her ped. When your baby is sick it is the most frustrating things sometimes, cause you just want to make every better right now. No Fever, I say, good sign. I pray all is well with your little girl. J.

Hi T.,

Well I honestly don't have any advice as to what might be wrong. I say if she doesn't start eating more in a couple of days definately go see Dr.
Wish I could be more of a help!
Good Luck and I hope she feels better soon.
