Keeping Your Breast Size

Ok so here's a crazy question. Is there any way to keep your breasts from totally shrinking after breastfeeding? I went from a prepregnant "B" to a pregnant ""C" and then after breastfeeding down to an "A" after my first two. I'm currently nursing my third and don't want to lose them again. I'm tempted to go to formula, just to save my breasts! :) How selfish of me!

What can I do next?

I don't think it's a crazy question, it's perfectly normal. I'm currently breastfeeding my third child and my boobs have been through the ringer! I don't think giving your baby formula is going to help your breasts. They go through a process when we breastfeed and we end up looking like gorillas...but you know what? It's worth it when you look down at that beautiful baby getting all those healthy nutrients.
There is always getting a boob job...or a really good wonder BRA!!

Yes, a little selfish. Sorry, but I am in your shoes right now and I wouldn't give my child formula for that reason. Keep in mind that pregnancy changes your boobs too, not just breastfeeding. I have a friend who went from a C to an A cup after having three kids, she did not breastfeed any of them.

I just "got" my A's recently, I've NEVER been so small! That is what a great bra is for and maybe a little padding (-:

Congratulations on your new baby!!

Breastfeeding is not what causes breast tissue to shrink, or sag, contrary to popular opinion. It is the hormones produced in pregnancy that will cause this to happen. Go ahead and breastfeed your third. It is the most healthy and wonderful thing you can do for your child.

I agree with the others - even if you didn't breastfeed this time, the milk would dry up and your boobs would get smaller again anyway. They won't stay that way.

It sucks, and I plan on getting a boob job some day when I'm done having kids!

There's no going back now, sorry. Pre-pregnancy I was an "A" and am now nursing my fourth. I want to keep nursing forever to keep my B-cup! After I wean this one I'm going shopping for either a training bra or an "AA". It's either that or a boob job. But I LOVE nursing my kids and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I don't think you'll save anything by quitting now, the damage is done so just nurse your baby as long as you are both enjoying it.

Mother's definitely go through a lot for their children. And good for you for breastfeeding all of them. But no matter what you do now, the changes have occurred.

Our breasts change because of gravity, genetics, PREGNANCY hormones (not so much the breastfeeding), and so many other things.

So before you think about not giving your baby something no one else on this entire earth can provide for her, consider the risks to her vs. your personal image.

And hey, I don't think I've ever seen a woman that a great bra didn't do wonders for her.
