One cute Boy/Girl shared bathroom was done with fish and ocean etc.
My kids share a bathroom and so far it has been decorated with nice red-gold-bronze to match the rest of the house, but I am ready to fix it up for them. Any suggestions on what and where to find cute decore. My biggest hurtle is finding a print that they both like. Boy/Girl
I thought of doing frogs and butterflies as a framed art work over the potty then have a multi colored striped shower curtain, solid towels on the towel bar with different boy-girl towels over each. Just not sure where to find this. I want to incorporate poka dots, stripes, and maybe a print. I always have good ideas, but not talented enough to sew. Also does anyone paint canvas? I may need that if I can't find a frog/butterfly art that is the same print.
Thanks

IKEA! IKEA! I have found that a lot of their kids stuff is pretty gender nutral. and its cheap.
I put my kid's artwork in frames and used that to decorate the bathroom, it personalizes it and this way you have a place to put all the wonderful artwork they create for us!
I know someone who does great canvas art and did a mural in my baby's room that is fabulous. Check her out, she is just starting a new website: www.ticklemyheartstudio.com.
Good luck.
I had a hard time finding a neutral theme for our kids' bathroom too. I finally settled on Dr. Seuss. I splurged on the Pottery Barn Kids shower curtain and coordinated the rest quite thriftily. I bought a "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish" book at Half Price books for $3 and cut it up for frames for the wall. Bought a red ceramic vase and some bright feathers for on top of the potty, bought inexpensive bright towels at Target and a funky bath mat at Hobby Lobby. I spent $50 on the shower curtain and probably spent another $50 on all the frames, towels and other decor. Not too bad and it sure is cute.
If I'm not mistaken, Potterybarn Kids has a butterfly and frog bath line that coordinate with each other. http://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/rombth/rombthhbb/...
try www.marthastewart.com or www.betterhomesgardens.com for ideas. cute combination...frogs/butterflies. i would pick out a shower curtain first and go from there with the color scheme...
have fun!:)
IKEA has cool stuff for kids. It's European style, usually neutral, not boy/girl specific. They carry lots of frame art works that are not expensive at all.
Good luck.
