There are a few but my favorite is Highlights. It has fun short stories, interesting activities, poems, science insights and anything else that might distract an antsy child.
What is the name of that kids magazine that is free in drs offices, hospitals, etc. It is a half size magazine. Anyone know? Thanks
W.

Highlights Magazine. It's been around since I was a kid!
Highlights honey, around when I was a kid. Enjoy!
The magazine I always pick up from my childrens
DRS. and from the local libraries or our local parks is
called Parent and Child and it comes out monthly and
the best of all is it is free !!
I have not seen Highlights at these places yet.
Parent and Child gives you a daily listing of all
that is happening in the County every day. It is for
the parent more and I really enjoy it.
The magazine is Highlights for children. My husband and I for years purchased subscriptions for our young grandchildren. We stopped when they were 11.

We started with our kids at age 4.
The magazine you are talking about is called Highlights. It has been around a long time. Usually in the back of the magazine there are reply cards that you can take to order your own subscription.
the name is KIDS' DIRECTORY it's says on the cover A FAMILY RESOURCE GUIDE PRODUCTS & SERVICES FOR INFANTS, CHILDREN, & PARENTS. I'm not sure if that's the one you are looking for. their website is www.TampaKidsDirectory.com.
