There is a bounce house called Jump In Jax in Jacksonville the website is www.jump-in-jax.com. Its clean and the kids have a blast!
I just recently moved to the Jacksonville, NC area and am looking for any activities to take my kids (3 and 1) to during the day to release their energy. I have googled and searched, but cannot find any indoor play places such as a kid's gym or bounce house. Anyone know of any?

I am new to the area as well. I have found the playplaces at Sonic (outdoor) and McDonalds-across from Walmart (indoor) nice.
I also have my 3 year old in ballet. (Class at Tarawa Terraces).
I just joined a meetup.com group of moms in the area. They are having their next get together at Pete-Eze's. I have never gone, but it sounds like a great place to burn off energy! I think I will go! (Details below)
Come join us at Pete-Eze for children's playtime! This is a skating rink, but on this day they open the whole rink area for children's playtime. The morning is reserved strictly for toddlers/preschoolers and their parents. The charge is $5 for each child playing (no charge for infants or parents).
They have lots of things for little ones to do! Playdoh, ride on toys, bouncers, little people sets, arts, blocks, books, play kitchens, climbing toys & a large variety of toys. Since they are a skating rink they also have skates if any would like to try that. There is plenty of room to run and ride.
Hours are from 9:30am ~ 12pm and you may stay as long as you like.
It is okay to bring your own food.

Hi C.,
Have you checked on base? Tarawa Terrace and Midway Park both have community centers that sponsor activities for kids. Check out their website www.mccslejeune.com and click "Community Centers" under the Recreation and Leisure tab. Hope this helps.

This is a great website especially for the ages of your children. Go to www.onslowkidscenter.com - it lists lots of available activities in a calendar format. Good Luck!
All libraries offer story hour. They usually do some dancing and games and singing too. Not just an hour of sitting. The base new parent support group usually has a list of toddler playgroup times if you are military. The OWC has a mommy and me playgroup, but I am not sure about the EWC. Unless it is raining, I take mine to the playground anyway or the beach to collect shells. There is a nice beach on Lejeune that also has several playgrounds. Take extra clothes, snacks and bundle up, and the beach in wintertime is like a big empty playground. You find more cool shells off season too.The girls love it, and the relaxing element and fresh air is good for me.
There are restaurants with play areas but that can add to the waistline if you do that regularly. Chic-Fil-A and Sonic are nice, and seem to be cleaner than some of the McDonalds. I don't have the self discipline to lay off the fries and chicken so I avoid those.
