S.T.
I have a wall oven and a separate stovetop that's dropped into an opening in the countertop. The cabinet undernath is where I keep all my pots & pans.
A couple of things to consider if you wnat to make your stove stop a slide-in & out drawer:
- the cabinet surrounds int must be heat and flameproof. I would worry that the drawer walls and underneath or countertop would be susceptible to scorching. If the countertop is going to be stone you'd have to make sure the stone isn't susceptile to cracking fromt he expansion / contraction of heat / no heat. I realize the intent is not to push the stove-darwer back in until it's cooled off - but electic stove-tops can take a while to cool down - expecially the glass topped ones. And other people don't always follow our ktichen guidelines.
The other considerations its that when the drawer-stove is pulled out you lose space in the kitchen with which to maneuver around.
So if those factors are taken into account I think it would be really cool.
