I know it's a little out of your way, but I've gone to Dr. Jake at Pain Management Center in O'Fallon at Bryan and Hwy N. I had never been to a chiropractor before last winter and was desperate with a bad back, and he was wonderful. I'm pretty small also and have a low pain tolerance, and I told him that up front, so he was careful but still got the job done. Plus the massage therapists there are fantastic! This also might be way too late and not convenient enough, but my brother is a chiropractor in Manchester, MO. He has adjusted my 2 year old so obviously I think a 14 year old would be fine. He's at Primary Care Chiropractic and his name is Dr. Matt Gravel. The phone number is ###-###-####. They do something called "Kids Come First" the first Saturday of every month, where kids can receive adjustments for 1/2 price. I assume that would apply to a 14 year old. Good luck!
