I have had 3 losses now and the other names that I have are Lucas (lost 2/2006), and Lilly (lost 5/2010), and I miscarried again yesterday. "L" is for lost and so I'd like another L name for this one. I had a feeling it was a boy, but obviously can't be sure, so a girl name will be ok too. Any suggestions?
Lucas means "unknown" in Indian, and Lilly is for the most beautiful flower I have ever seen. I'd like something with a meaning behind it, but I can look them up myself if you just have a nice name. :) Thanks ladies! You're always so supportive!

So What Happened?

Wow! Ok, God wants Liam! I had actually suggested that name to my hubby yesterday and everyone suggested it too. Liam Christensen it is! Thanks Ladies! I appreciate you all!

Stay strong mama!

Since you felt it was a boy, Lev translates to mean 'heart' in Hebrew. (I like Penny's suggestion of Lani also.)

I am sorry for your losses with your miscarriages. While it may be a lost to you and some people, I hope you can still see some light with it. It's a very tough struggle and situation. Again, I send my apologies out to you.

As far as names for a boy, maybe Liam? Here is what I found regarding the name...
The meaning of the name Liam is Strong-willed Warrior
The origin of the name Liam is Irish

I thought that was a lovely strong name for a boy.

The best of your luck to you and your family!
K.

P.S. STAY STRONG :)

First off I am SO sorry for your loss, so sorry. I was going to name my boy Logan (but we had a girl LOL) it actually can be unisex too but I had a girl name already and wanted that for a boy: it means hallow. I think Lark is interesting: a playfull lighthearted songbird unisex name

I'm so so sorry to hear about your loss. My husband and I just experienced our 2nd stillbirth (she was 25 weeks this time, the one before was 22 weeks).. but we decided to name her Leyla. I think it's different and really pretty. As far as a boy I like the other suggestions from the other moms. I really like Liam :) I know it's hard and i'm hear for ya in case ya just want to vent or feel the need to e-mail someone. My husband and I had our first SB after our first son but we went on to have a daughter, then a MC (i think about 8 weeks that one was) then another son and finally this last SB. I know it's hard. I'll be praying for you :)

I am so sorry for your losses.

How about:
Levi
Leo
Lyndon or Linden (which could pass for feminine or masculine)
Lani (which is Polynesian for heaven)
Lennon (which is Irish for "dear one")
Liam (in Hebrew it means, "my people, I have a nation", but the Germanic origin means will or desire)

I sincerely hope you can find peace.

I like the boy name Layton, it doesn't have a lot of info on its meaning, but I wiki the word "leek" which Layton is sometimes linked to "leek garden", and this is what I found:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leek

It may be a bit of a stretch, and the leek garden doesn't sound exciting on the surface, but it has a lot of historical and cultural significance. Also, in Wales, it's worn alongside a daffodil as the national emblem...which also may be a stretch, but you named one of your miscarried babies Lilly, so maybe it could translate that your two flowers are together...like the leek (which is more masculine, and strong, used as emblems for Welsh guards) and the daffodil...or Lilly and Layton.

Hope you like it, or find something else that you really like!

I know you already chose a name by the time I posted, but I wanted to send you my thoughts and prayers - I can not imagine three miscarrages, it must be devistating. Peace and love to you.
