I’m considering an online laser hair removal deal that’s good for 6 sessions. Just curious if you’ve done LHR, did you have the results you wanted in just 6 sessions?

What can I do next?

I have had laser hair removal and had great success. 6 sessions was plenty for me; however, I believe it does vary among individuals. I noticed you live in Flower Mound. I live in North Richland Hills and drive to Dallas for my sessions at Laser Beauty Medical Spa. I LOVE that place and have gone back to have my legs done. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

In the throes of doing bikini hair removal through a Groupon. Will have my third session next week and the results so far are spectacular. I did purchase 6 sessions and since it's going so well, I know that that will effectively end having to shave. That being said, I purchased a different Groupon from another laser hair removal place and after 5 sessions of their utterly weak laser, I skipped the last session and bought the one that I spoke of above. So, my advice would be to look into what type of laser that they have and look online for their reviews, too. The second package that I bought ... let's just say the laser was like night and day. Much more painful, but MUCH more effective.

I had my bikini line done a couple years ago and it was fantastic! I do need to go in for a touch up as a few hairs have grown back, but so worth it! I did go in last week for my upper lip (with hesitation as I am very prone to hyperpigmentation and have horrible melasma along my jawline/lower cheek area). I spoke of my concerns, but was assured it would not be a problem. Well guess what? Now I have melasma on my upper lip with looks like more of a stache than the hair did! Sorry to have to share that story, but it is just something to be aware of...

Yes, I've done it, 6 sessions should be plenty, depending on how much hair you want removed. If you're doing your legs or some vast area, I guess it could take more.

Be very careful. I did get laser hair removal and only went thru 4 sessions as I got burned. I have a scar the size of a dime on my chin. I was in so much pain and to this day, it is a tender area and it has been a year. This uneven, ugly scar has left me more self concious about my face than I was before with a few L. hairs. But hey, at least the area with the scar can't grow hair...that is a bonus, right? LOL Anyway, I would never do it again. It hurt and I could smell hair burning. I hate that I will be scarred for life on my face... :(

Just do your research.

I have had 3 treatments to my underarms, bikini, and legs. I have already noticed significant results in that I don't need to shave anywhere near as frequently. I've been told 8-10 treatments may be needed, but If I think I'm good at 6 treatments, then I will stop. I plan doing other parts of my body since it is going so well! BTW I go to Uptown Laser and Skin in Uptown.

I'm a LHR junkie. 6 sessions will make significant improvement however, I've had approximately 10 sessions on my underarms over the past 10 years and I still have to shave once a month.

I had two treatments done on my legs 6 years ago and the hair there much more fine and I can go less frequently with out shaving.

In short- 6 treatments is WAY better than no treatments.

I am SUPER impressed with my LHR!! I've only gone to 3 sessions so far, but the results are amazing. I did my bikini line, and after the first session, I had zero new hair growth. As of now, you can still see what looks like stubble, but it's gotten lighter with each treatment and it's silky smooth (: I'm waiting for another Groupon deal so I can do my underarms. It is a bit painful, but it literally took only 5 minutes. I get serious razor burn that is very painful. The treatments do burn a bit, but as soon as it's done, it's done. WAY better than razor burn. I have recommended LHR to pretty much everyone I know. Go for it, you won't be sorry.

I had my bikini area done about 8 years ago and I think I did it in 6 sessions. I am VERY please. I will say, I get about 3-4 small strands in the area now, but easy to get rid of them. I plan to get the whole thing done this Fall. I highly, highly recommend it!

Yes and no. I got results that work, in that don't have to shave my lower legs anymore. But there are lighter colored, 'straggler' hairs that I just pluck at random after I shower. Not a big deal and I am very happy with the way my lower legs turned out.

My bikini line has "grown back" (not really, these are "different growth cycle" hairs) approx 30% of what it was. But a few more treatments would do the trick. New hairs can grow at anytime forever, so there you go. Still an improvement.

6 sessions are not enough. I've been doing for over 2 years now and still need to do maybe 1 more year (around 6 sessions per year)

I agree with LeeLee. It varies for each person but I would recommend since is Groupon and it will be cheap anyways then buy (12) treatments for touch ups. On my experience, I needed more than 6 for Legs, Underarms and bikini. Although all depends on the machine. I did the brazilian on a different place and it was very painful but I only needed 6 treatments.

I've had 8 treatments and there was a big difference after 6 treatments but I'm glad I will have 9 so I would buy 2 just in case.

I just recently had 1 of 6 sessions, so I can't speak to results yet. The technician said that 6 sessions are plenty for most people, for each area treated.
I would call the place with the offer first, and ask them all your questions before buying. Just to make sure you're a good candidate. You must have lighter skin and darker hair, or it doesn't work.
If you have any more questions about it, post another question, and I'd be happy to give more details.
