Hi Mama's! I need your help-my daughters birthday party has had to make a switch at the last minute(long story) and now we have no cake for tomorrow nights party. I really don't want, nor do I have the time, to make it. Where is the best place to get a cake, fast. We really don't like Wal-mart but if we have to we will. She really wants barbie or princesses but at this point...do you know if any of the good bakeries, like Texas Star, have cakes that are ready to be bought? I could just get a pink one or perhaps pink cupcakes...I don't know what to do at this point...look forward to your help. TIA

Cupcakes are usually a special order but they should have a few cakes ready to have a "Happy Birthday" squirted on before you scoot out the door.
I had an awesome cupcake cake from Tom Thumb last week. My best friend brought it for my birthday. It was moist and they have this great fluffy icing.
If you want something a bit fancier, check with Celebrity Bakery. I'm not sure where you are located, but they have premade cookies, cakes, and cupcakes that are awesome. If you are anywhere near Coppell, the Celebrity was converted to Magnolia Bakery. Still awesome stuff, just not part of the franchise.
Kroger, Albertson's, Tom Thumb, Sam's Club, Costco all have pre-made birthday cakes. They will add her name; a greeting.
I don't know of a bakery, but I swear Kroger cakes/cupcakes are really good! We have used them for the last 3 bdays. And they could probably whip them up really quick.

Have you checked out Super Target? Ive gotten several birthday cakes from there and they have always been great. Also I have been very pleased with Kroger as well. You can also check Carvel or Baskin Robbins as they already have some pre-made ice cream cakes available.
Fast and cheap Costco if you have a card cant be beat! I work at Pump It Up and see cake everyday my staff goes crazy when someone leaves a Costco cake behind. It is by far their favorite. A close second is Krogers for me. I love their whipped icing. If you need a lot of cake, Sams sells the best full sheet cake.

have you tried celebrity bakery? they are all over now, the closest would be colleyville. they have great "ready made" treats ususally available.

Kroger Signature(there is a great in Flower Mound (3040 and Morris) They make good cakes.
