hi. I am going on a plane with a 4 year old (9 hours one way!) and wnat to get some games for the Leapster. I don't want to buy any busts. any suggestions as to which are the most entertaining and also which are educational as well. she can recogonize her numbers and letters and their sounds so I don't want to buy anything too "baby" but she cannot yet read/phonics. there are so many games and just feeling a little overwhelmed (ie old since this is more than my "Atari"!)!

These are some great choices. I see every girl likes Pet Pals. Are there any that are very educational, especially in the area of phonics and practicing her letters?

We've had a Leapster for 2 weeks and Pet Pals is the absolute favorite.
She also has the Princess one and the Tinkerbell and doesn't get tired of them yet. I've played those and they're really good for numbers and letters.

My 4.5 year old also really enjoys Pet Pals. Others that get lots of playtime are Backyardigans, Wall-e and Tinkerbell. Hope you guys have a great plane ride!

I have a 4 year old daughter and these are the games she has. Pet Pals, Ni Hao Kai-lan, Mr. Pencil's Learn to Draw and Write. These are for ages 4-7. She enjoys all of them, but Pet Pals is her favorite.

My 5 yr. old son loves the Wall-E and ratatouille games. They are entertaining for girls and boys. They are both not too hard but challenging enough for 4-7 yr. olds.
Good luck!

My daughter loves the Disney Princess game. She also has the Word Factory game and several others. Dora and Diego are both favorites. We just got Finding Nemo today, so I'm not sure what she thinks of that one yet, but it seemed to teach colors, big and small, etc. so I think your daughter would like it. Have fun!
