Did you search for this topic? Because it's been posted multiple times within the last month.

There is NO job that will allow you stay home and work a job at home without childcare, and do it all effectively. You will still need a workspace and a quiet environment. Not to have this would be very unprofessional (especially if you're working a phone job).

No offense, but if these jobs were plentiful, we'd all be doing them, me included, because I am SO sick of driving to & from work.

Try wahm.com or workplacelikehome.com.

This question is asked weekly and sometimes more.

If you could make good money to stay home and watch your children, EVERYONE would be doing it.

This post will get all the MLM people on the site hitting you up to make money with them to sell, recruit, etc. If having parties and being in agressive sales is your thing just go for it and read ALL the facts.

Working at home is WORK. Companies usually do not hire people to work from home. People who work from home and telecommute are proven employees with an employer. It takes a lot of self discipline, self motivation. Those who work from home have required child care. NO company wants you representing them with the noises of children and pets in the background.

There are some places that have offsite working at home which would be telemarketing, etc.

I work from home because our home base for our company is my house. However, I would not be able to do my job with children under foot. One mistake and it can mean we lose thousands of dollars. Again, working from home is work.

Think outside the box... what are you good at... babysitting?Tutoring?Selling things on Ebay, CL or Etsy?

Good luck.

If these ads were legitimate we'd ALL be doing it.
If you have small children your best bet is to set up a home daycare, or work evenings/weekends while the hubby's home with the kids.

We all have the potential to create the work environment we desire most but it takes skills, talents, abilities and training. What skills do you have? Can you use those skills in a work from home setting and what entity would pay you to do it? Once you research and discover the answer to these things you will find something that works for you or discover that your passionate endeavour isn't structured for working from home.

I had a neighbor that sewed for a living from home. She made those plastic slip covers for sofa's and chairs and the like. She was very good at it.

My best friend works for home also but she is a creative type that does computer tech help desk type work.

My husband also works from home, he does Human Resource retirement/benefit plan stuff.

Each of these examples are highly specialized and require a certain level of expertise. Each of these inviduals have worked in their field at a place for at least 10 years prior to working from home.

I have a legitimate work from home job, but it is sporadic contract work and it is for my former full time employer. I think most work from home jobs that are legit are from previous connections or negotiated with current employers. It sounds ideal and I am thankful for my opportunity, but it's not always easy. There are a lot of distractions at home. Even though my kids are older (7th and 10th grades) I still find it difficult, if not impossible, to work when they are home so most of my work hours are when they are at school. My job requires a computer with Access software and very specific education and job experience. Good luck.

I highly disagree with Mamazita. My corporate job offered tons of work from home jobs. None of them executive level, but alot of manager and director positions...even administrative positions. In home daycare or evening/weekend jobs were never my only choice.

My girlfriend, who doesn't have a college degree, works as a personal assistant for an attorney, and she works from home. They Skype when they can, and avoid having to meet in person as much as possible, but when you work for an attorney its inevitable. She started as a paralegal at that firm.

Nothing is for free and or cheap, whether you are looking for a job or career. You have to get your foot in the door in any company, and then work your way into any position you want. That may take 2 months or 2 years, but it does take hard work and sacrifice. Be resourceful, find an employment agency, go to training courses at the local college or library - get some skills under your belt and start networking.

I work from home, however I have worked for the same company for 11 years and was with them for 7 before they offered work from home, so I had to prove myself as a reliable employee first. I work for a collection agency and do a lot of phone calls and typing. My mother also worked from home many years doing medical transcription. You could look into those types of jobs, but be aware that you will need child care because it is impossible to do a good job as a mother and an employee when you are trying to juggle both things at once. There are both good and bad things about working from home. The good parts, for me, are that I do not have to worry about a work wardrobe and hair, I can roll out of bed and jump on the computer, which I love. I love not having to commute, saves a lot of money on gas. I have a flexible schedule as long as I get my hours in (this can be true with some medical transcription jobs as well). The bad parts are, you never really leave work/home. It can be very stressful to be working while you see that the house needs to be cleaned, dinner needs to be made, etc. It feels like a lot of juggling and a lot of distraction. If you do transcription, if you do not type fast enough, they often take $ out of your check. My mom was a very fast typist but she got distracted easily with phone calls, internet, neighbors dropping by. It made it so that she was making min. wage. She is happier with an office job now. People do not understand that you are working, no matter how often you tell them. My doorbell is always ringing, does not matter that I have a No Soliciting sign or I have told the neighbors my schedule a zillion times. My kids will come pester me in the office even if Dad is supposed to be in charge. I work for a company based out of a very small town and the wages there are lower than I could probably make if I found a job where I am at now. I also have to drive 2 hours away for mandatory meetings sometimes. So, there is good and bad. Good luck

Hi, I do work from home as a spanish interpreter for a company that is pretty big for the past almost 4 years. If you are bilingual do research for interpretation companies. Most companies do require you a phone line to transfer you the calls so you can interpret them....the company where I work reimburses me monthly what I pay for my phone line...and I do use a computer for terms that I don't know the translation for but especially so I don't get bored and go online. Most companies, like the one I work for, pay per minute work....usually .25 cents/minute or so...do your research first. if you need any help let me know. good luck!
