I help moms do just that. This is not a MLM or no parties or product delivery. Go to my site at http://www.helping-moms.com.
I am due in December and allready have a 10 y.o. I really would like to find a job I can do from home. Unfortunately, most of them seem like scams. I have 12 years in the medical field as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. I have done everything in a medical office that there is to do. I really would like to find something like transcription that I could do from home. I just don't have any idea how to get started. I would also be willing to try other types of work....just as long as I can do it from home.
Thanks!

Hi A.,
Yes and Yes. Beware of get rich quick schemes and MLM's because only the elite few can become successful. If you are slightly better than average like me you will need a proven business plan with a reputable company. Do some research and choose wisely. I am a recently retired 42 year-old Ultrasound Technologist who just graduated in 2005. I chose to stay home with my family because I was missing far to much of my children's lives. I love what I do and I only work about 20 hours a week, whenever I choose. After a little over a year I am well on my way to earning a residual 6 figure income. The average Unfranchise Owner earns $142,000 a year after their 3rd year in business. With your medical background you would have just the right contacts to make this a very successful business. I invite you to watch this short video:

You can email me at: ____@____.com. I invite you to look at my website to look at the many products that I implement into medical facilities. http://www.visionary-wellness.com
Good luck at whatever venture you choose and you should pat yourself on the back for thinking outside the box. Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your child!!
Best Regards,
L.
I have tried many of the stay at home options and finally found the one for me three years ago. My search for the right program cost me a lot of time and money therefore one of my main goals in life is to help others avoid 'scams' while exploring their options. The most important thing to remember in anything is you get out of it what you put into it. I am now a skin care consultant with Jordan Essentials. I work as little or as much as I want. I also work HOW I want. There are many ways to make money in this company. I am happy to assist you in your search. Please check out the 'about us' section on my website. You may contact me from my website with any questions or if you would just like to know more about where I have been and where I am now. www.myjestore.com/martigibson

Personally, I am not keen on anything that requires parties or direct sales. I think you can set up an Avon website and earn money just from folks ordering through YOUR website (no door to door needed).
But you should be able to find something else with your background. I am pretty sure you can do medical transcription from home. You may also be able to find a tech writing job (the certificate is NOT a requirement - good writing skills are).
As for avoiding scams, your best bet would probably be to contact offices where you have worked and ask if they can use you in a part time/flex time work-from-home basis.
Check out http://www.workplacelikehome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1... there is a list of some transcription/coding companies that you can try to get on with. Also check out wahm.com to see if there are any at home job leads that would interest you.

I have my own Mary Kay business that I run from home. I quit my job at Toyota about 4 months ago and things have been going well. I have a friend that did transcribing from home for a while. I can get you the info if you are interested.
It sounds like you are in a great spot to work part time of temporary for a medical office. Maybe medical billing from home, etc.
There are tons of "opportunities" that are "fantastic" and require you to invest, sell, and recruit (MLM's).
If you are into that, go for it, there are plenty of them....not all legit though.
Have you thought of ways you can do your current job from home? I did AR & Credit/collections = I came up with a plan, and they agreed because I had been a good asset to them for several years - they could transfer calls to me just like I was sitting at a desk in the office - same with the computer - I logged in like everyone else - I would give it some thought and see - but talk to them - even if your current job is not something you could do, maybe they would let you do something else - I worked from home for about 3 years before our son got to old for me to watch and work :) he is a BUSY boy - he is now 6
I also know Mazzio's has the phone operators that you call into place an order with work from home.
Good Luck!
Hey!
I've been working from home since March. There are absolutely legitimate work from home oportunities - you just have to find them. AND you have to be willing to put in the work. I said this a while back in a post that I responded to, a lot of times we scam ourselves into thinking that we signed up for a scam, because we weren't willing to put in the time and effort to become sucessful. I sugest that when you find something that sounds apealing to you, commit to it for at least 6 months, and work at it. Don't just hope that it will work, with out much effort - if you do that you'll fail. That's how I found my buisness and even though I haven't been with it for 6 months. After many things not working out, I finally decided to work really hard and commit to at least 6 months and I have recieved paychecks and each one is bigger than the last. And I really enjoy what I've been doing (I'm working it with a newborn, so you can absolutely do it with a 10 y.o around). If you would like to know what I do, either email or ask for more information from my website with a good time/day and number to reach you so I can get you the info. Good luck in your search!!

I have my own Mary Kay business and this has been my best year yet! I have my own website that my customers in all 50 states are able to order from, as well as do virtual makeovers without me needing to even leave the house. If you're interested in getting started, I'm looking to add new team members.
