Hi S., I'm an insurance agent in AZ. Any local agent in your area can help you, just google "life insurance agent in grand prairie TX". However, just a heads up...life insurance gets more expensive the older you get. And depending on her health, she may not even qualify for it. But your local agent can help with that. Good luck.

A lot depends on the health and medical history of you mother, how much insurance, what kind (whole, universal, or term), what she needs it for, etc.

Go to an independent insurance broker or financial planner who can look at all the options and give you an unbiased opinion.

It all depends upon her age and what you are looking for.

Health insurance or life insurance?

Health Insurance - if she's old enough - look into medicaid.
Life Insurance - google life insurance and start making calls to firms where you RECOGNIZE their names. You can also try Angieslist.org and see what they recommend - they do reviews on EVERYTHING now, not just home repairs.

AARP is your best bet.
It is guaranteed acceptance, no medical forms to fill out, no blood tests.
For a $10,000 policy I paid $92 a month for my mom who was 77.
She died before 2 years of coverage, so they returned all my payments, plus some interest.

I've used Zander insurance. They're recommended by Dave Ramsey and I have found the best rates with them typically through Banner Life (not sure if you can go to company directly).

I believe I've shopped einsurance as well for health, but they do all quotes.
