Lightweight Stroller?? - Stevenson Ranch,CA

My lightweight single combi stroller broke the other day, which I still need for my 20 month old. I'd like to buy an inexpensive lightweight stroller to replace it (we already have a big stroller for serious outings). My biggest gripe with the combi was the lack of an infant snack tray on the front. Can anyone recommend a great lightweight stroller with a snack tray that isn't expensive? I appreciate it! (I tried doing research online, but what a nightmare!)

Try going on Craigslist. You might be able to find one at a great price! I've bought a few things that are practically brand new and a great price. Good luck!

Hi R.,

I just got a Trendsport stroller from Babies R Us for $49. It folds with one hand, has a snack tray in front and a tray for drinks on top, the seat reclines, and it has a nice size storage basket. We have a "monster" stroller for serious outings too . The Trendsport is perfect for every day running around and my 22 month old likes it too.

I recently purchased the Jeep Sport stroller.
It has a snack tray and cup holders for the parents. So far I really like it. The seat will also recline slightly. I got mine at Walmart for $50. I bought on-line and had it shipped to the store where I picked it up - no shipping costs!

I love our Baby Trend Trendsport Lite stroller. I love it precisely because it is lightweight and has a snack tray/drink holder for my son and a tray for me (2 drink holders and a middle rectangular tray). It has a canopy and the seat reclines most of the way down for sleeping (and you control the angle with a cord; it does not have set recline points). I like that because I can ease my sleeping child down gradually without waking him. The tray comes off, so you can pop one side open and a toddler can crawl in. It also has a pretty roomy basket underneath. It one-hand folds. I also really like the way it drives. The maneuvering is very smooth and the wheels just whip around where you want them to go. As a side note: I am also using an umbrella-style Jeep stroller for quick trips into the store and I hate the way it steers. The wheels are always getting stuck side-ways....hate it. Anyway, I bought this stroller to use as my "Disneyland" stroller...a step-up from an umbrella, but not a bulky luxury or jogger stroller. It has been perfect! We've used it for two years.

There is another stroller that looks very, very similar to our made by Cosco (not Costco, like the store). I just googled it and the second picture that comes up looks the most like ours. I guess it is called the Avila and is grey and black. I remember testing one out and it did not maneuver as smoothly as the Trendsport. One thing I noticed on the Cosco one, though, is that it says it stands up on it's own after the one-hand fold. Now THAT would be handy. I'm pretty sure ours doesn't stand up.

I bought my Baby Trend Trendsport Lite at Babies R Us, but used a coupon and some other discount and ended up getting it for $30. I think it was originally $49.

Good luck!

I had bought a travel system at Biglot for $63.00, it was $79.00 since it was just the last one and was the display they said I can buy it for 20% off and no returns and so I bought it. If you look around, you'll find something cheap and also you can try craigslist. Good Luck

I got one on walmart.com, but they also carry it in the store, too. It's the jeep cherokee lightweight stroller. It's super light with easy one handed fold up. It has a snack tray plus 2 extra cup holders for you and your other child. also has ample strorage underneath and good sun protection. It also leans back when they fall asleep. I got it for the grandparents and they love it. Pretty sturdy and cleans easily. I was only 58 dollars and is much better than the combi. good luck!
