Hey Moms,
I need advice on a decent lightweight stroller. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and it hurts terribly when I pick up my Graco stroller. Plus, it's bulky and takes up alot of room in my car. I don't want to spend alot of money on a stroller, I want to get one under $100, just to lift out easily out of my car so that I can take my baby to the mall. I prefer one that folds easily too. I have an umbrella stroller, but I'm looking for something a little more durable that has a basket and a cupholder. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
M.

We recently purchased the Jeep Cherokee Sport stroller for our trip to Disney. It was great! I can put it in the back of the Suburban with one hand. It also unfolds with one hand, you just basically, set it on the ground, pull up on the handle a little, and it unfolds. It has a basket underneath that was big enough to fit all the things we had to haul around the park all day. It has two little pouches on either side that I put the sippy cups in. These can also be removed if you don't use them. It has 2 cup holders for mom (or dad :) and a little cubby-type hole on the tray for snacks/drink for baby. The only thing that seemed a little weird was that for my 9 month old at the time, the seat doesn't seem to sit her upright as much as I thought it would. It does recline, which was a necessity for us since she'd be falling asleep in it. When she's in it awake, she is old enough and strong enough to sit up, but the back of the seat isn't against her back. It's really not a big deal at all, but it was the only thing I could think of as a negative. I really like this stroller - plus it's a bright pink. I'm pretty sure it comes in several different colors. Good luck!
I have a Chicco umbrella stroller - I don't know the model name/number. It is very lightweight yet sturdy. It's easy to fold and store. I used this stoller with my son who is now 5 and am currently using it with my 9 month old daughter. Chicco sells strollers both over and under $100.

I have a Graco Metrolite and love it. Bought it at Babies R us.
I am a stroller junkie...love them, and have owned several LOL. My girlfriends joke that I need a support group to overcome my obsession. At any rate, I recently purchased an extremely lightweight Combi. I LOVE it. I needed something to easily get in and out of the car to run errands with my daughter. It's super comfy for her (even has a little cup holder for her and a belly bar). It folds up extremely easily and even goes a step further to fold in half. You can pull it out by the carrying strap too. I bought it with a Toys R Us coupon at Babies R Us...but it is regular price $100.
We bought a Chicco Liteway and just love it. It is similar to an unbrella stroller, but is much more durable, has a cupholder and "basket" which is a removable bag. Absolutely LOVE this stroller - and my husband is tall and isn't uncomfortable with the height of the handles. Good luck!
