Location for a Birthday Party

I am planning a birthday party for my son who is turning 2. I probably would normally do something simple but this is a big one for us because he had a really rough start (3 months premature) and we had a lot of help from family/friends and would sort of like to have it as a thank you to those people as well. That said, we are expecting about 60 people, adults and children, and are not planning a place like Chuckee Cheese or Bounce because of the number of adults. I don't feel my home will accommodate that many people so I am looking for suggestions on where I might have this party! We are in Oakland County so any suggestions in this area would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

We had my son's 1 year party at Palazzio De Bocce on Lapeer Rd in Orion Twp. I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right but it's the indoor bocce place. The adults had as much fun as the kids. We just did munchies court-side to save money. It was a big hit. Good luck.

How about having it at a park? I had my son's 3rd birthday a few years ago at Clintonwood Park in Clarkston. It was great because it had the splash park for the kids, and the adults could just relax and catch up. It was also free (I set up my own canopy), or you can rent the pavilion for shade. Also, Seymour Lake park in Oxford just opened up a splash pad. Good luck and have fun!

We just had my daughters bday party at hess hathaway park in waterford. They have a special birthday package that was amazing. It included their pavillion rental for 3 hours, a farm tour and a hayride for the kids! I believe it was around $75 and it was well worth it! The adults loved being outside and the kids loved seeing the animals and they have an amazing playground too!

Check out Bear Creek Park- (on snell rd, between Orion and Rochester). There is a pavilion, hiking trails, a playscape and a large field. There is hardly ever anyone there.

I also reccomend a park. We just had my 5 year olds party at Bay Court Park and the kids loved the play structures and the beach. The parents had fun too. I'm sure there is a park close to you, where ever you are in Oakland County.

Just show a birthday party taking place at the zoo in the new Dino exhibit under a nice size tent. Very Cool! Great for the young and old

Hi D.! A friend of ours had her daughter's 1 year, family birthday party (80 people) at the Troy Community Center. (Livernois, North of Big Beaver) They have a variety of rooms. I believe she brought her own food and family members brought family favorites. She said that it worked out very well. Good Luck! ###-###-####
