hello!
I'm looking for a place where we could celebrate our son's 3th birthday party in mid April. we need a place which offer some activities for the kids. even a small play space is enough or somthing similer (just to keep them busy and happy while we,the parents could hang out together). the problem is that we have different group ages (some of our frinds kids are one and the others are three years old), we don't want to spend too much on organized activities. please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. thank you!
thank you all for your help and great ideas! I will start making phone calls to find out what will work for us. I'm sure that my son will be happy with anything that include a cake and gifts, but the right setting will make our life easier, which is importent as well. thanks again,

A really good place to have a party is called scallywags its in pembroke,I dont know how far south you want to go but its a great place for kids of all ages.(even adults!)
I don't know if Arlington is too far but I'm renting Gibbs Gym for my sons 2nd Birthday. It a big gymnasium at a school. They have a moon bounce and all kinds of toys. It's $125 for 2 hours and someone to help organize activities. You are responsible for set up and clean up and bring your own food/drinks. They have fridge and freezer to use. There is a drop in free play on Wed. from 9:30 -11:30, I believe, if you want to see what it's like. Here in there link:

How about My Gym (www.mygymboston.com). They have a perfect place with activities that fit your age groups. I have been to two parties there now (both were 3 year olds) and the kids seems to love it. Two "teachers" play games and do activites with the kids (up to 20 kids) for 1.5 hours. You bring your own food and drinks and the parents can hang out with each other without having to run after the kids.

I agree w/ the other responder-Gymboree! I have been to multiple birthday parties there and have hosted parties there on 2 separate occassions, for my 2-year old daughter and my 4-year old son. Everyone of all ages can enjoy, including the parents and you. It is so easy. You can go on their website and find the location closest to you. Congratulations on your impending new baby girl also.
gymboree? my friends said that place is real good for birthday party. :o)
what about that indoor water park in Danvers- at the sheraton.
Other than Gymboree, there's also a My Gym in Newton and Boston. Very similar to Gymbore. A one stop shop. Also, if you're looking for a birthday cake, check out Party Favors in Coolidge Corner. The kids (and adults) are always very impressed with their designs. Good luck. Next year, you can try bowling. That's what we did for our 4 year old and he LOVED it. The kids went crazy all bowling at the same time. Very fun to watch, but this year may be a bit early.
