I am looking for a chiropractor for my seven week old daughter. I live in Minneapolis but will travel to the right person. I would like to know a name of someone who works with newborns and also would like to know prices.
My husband is loosing his job so we only have insurance until Friday! I would like to get in ASAP and also know that we will need follow ups.
Thanks for the info:
S.

I have been seeing Dr. Elena Pekurovsky for prenatal care and will take my baby to her as well. She's ICPA certified and has really pampered me and gone the extra mile, doing occasional dietary counseling and acupressure for free as well. I really recommend her. It's $55 for the initial visit for an adult, not sure if she charges the same for kids. I think without insurance that spinal adjustments run about $40 after that. She's very easy to get appointments with. When I've had to bring my 3 year old along her receptionist has been willing to keep an eye on him during my appointment - there are lots of toys in the office and it's a small space.

She's in Plymouth right off the northwest corner of 394 and 169.

My son has gone to Dr. Troy Boschee at Valley West Chiropratic in Bloomington. We haven't been for awhile but the cost was between $20-40 per visit (sorry I can't remember exactly). They can certainly get you in this week. He saved my son from needing ear tubes after just 3 visits and the occasional follow up.

Hi S.,

I see Heather Karls at Langford Chiropractic in St. Paul (Highland Park neighborhood, near Cleveland & Ford). She is known for her work with babies & children, and pregnant women. We started bringing our son there when he was 9 months old. I asked Dr. Karls how old her youngest patients have been, and she said she has seen 6 week old infants.

Her techniques for the little ones are gentle and fun and my son doesn't even realize he's getting adjusted.

Last I checked (late 2008) their price for a visit if you paid same-day (w/out insurance) was $40. (Know that the initial exam will be more. You can call them for that price.)

I am always able to get in easily. Yesterday, I had to make an emergency appt. for myself because I slipped and fell on some ice, and I got in the same day. Good luck!

We see Dr. Jeff Styba at Exodus Chiropractic in Blaine on a routine basis. My kids are 2 & 3, but I see him adjusting many infants. One downfall is that he does not accept insurance, but I love him...so do my kids! Dr. Carrie Clark in Edina (near 50th and France) is great as well. She's certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Good Luck!
