I second Henry's Homemade. Great place.
Another option is Herbie's Soda Fountain (if it is still there) on the square in McKinney.
I am looking for a fun, interesting ice cream parlor to take a group of kids (ages 2 - 7) in the Plano/Allen/McKinney Area. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Or if you have any other suggestionsof plances that a moms/kids group may enjoy before heading back to school it would be a great help. Thanks so much.

As Victoria stated...the yogurt shop is good. It's actually spelled (so you can find it) Yumilicious Frozen Yogurt, 190 E. Stacy Rd, Allen, tx 75002. http://www.thevillageshopping.com/stores/Yumilicious
No matter where you take your kids i'm sure it will fun; kids just love ice cream.
I'm going to have to try this Henry's place the others mentioned. My husband and I love going to Yumalious in The Village of Allen. It actually yogurt, but it is very good and the kids can build their own sundaes. Everything is self serve. We went on a Saturday and there was a man there making balloon animals. It's also across from a real train caboose, a fake town, and a maze. I was at the train park on Thursday and there were kids of all ages there.
Henry's Homemade Ice Cream in Plano located at the intersection of 15th street and Independence. All the ice cream is homemade, my husband grew up going there in Plano. Our cub scout groups have gone for outings there and they show you how to make ice cream etc, and I know they have bday parties there as well. Really great Ice cream!
