We go to Leigh's and love the teachers there.
I also have a friend who takes her girls to Legacy and has been happy with them. The only thing she doesn't like is they only do a recital every other year instead of every year.
My daughter has had one year of dance, and though we like her teacher a lot, we're looking for somewhere else, the recital wasn't great and it seems that most of the big girls end up going somewhere else or quitting or something. Anyway, wondering if there's a dance studio recommended in the Olathe area. We don't want to do competitions or anything. She's 5. Thanks.

We've also been with Legacy for about a year. We enjoy it there. Its at 127th and Pflumm and they only do a recital once a year.
Hi K.,
My daughter used to dance in Olathe and we since changed studios to Diamond Gymnastics and Dance Academy. They are located close to Olathe - at 7270 W. 161st Street in Overland Park. I am picky and really have been pleased with our move. They do a recital every year. I am not sure where you are located at in Olathe, but it may be something to look into. We live in Olathe and it takes us about 10 minutes to get there. They do not have a strict dress code like some studios. You can wear any color leotard/tights for class. (Which is what my kiddos want!) Enrollment just started on Monday. (I just enrolled my 6 year old and 3 year old.) You can see the classes offered for the recreation students online. Their website is: http://diamondacademy.com/ Good luck in your decision making process!

My daughter danced at Legacy (127th & Pflumm) for a couple years. She really enjoyed it and had excellent teachers. They only do a recital every other year so that was ideal. We know several older girls who have danced there for years - in fact one of the girls has gone off to college and teaches dance at a community center.
