There are so many to choose from, so I thought I would get recommendations before signing up for them. I'm looking for a site that helps with budgeting and bill payment reminders.

What can I do next?

I second Mint.com
The only thing I wish it had was a way to add cash. Since I so rarely spend actual cash, I just split my deposit. (say I have $40 and spend $10 and then deposit $30. I adjust my deposit to $40 and then the missing $10 is put in a spent category.)
I like to be detailed, where as my friend just keeps it simple. (I break a receipt down into specific categories while my friend is just fine with things being put under household. If a receipt is split say household and food, the tax just goes to one category since she doesn't like to do the math.) Try it out, I think it could really help.

I totally recommend http://www.mint.com/. It's a free, user-friendly website with a very easy to use budgeting tool and payment reminders. Mint also tracks how you actually do on your budget, so it's much less work for you! Hope you try it and like it!

I got so excited to tell you about Mint but I see I'm not alone! It really is excellent and it's very safe because they don't have access to any of your account numbers.

You can create budgets that rollover or restart each month, add new categories, set reminders, set it to send you alerts by email or text if your balances drop too low or you get a finance charge or fee, etc. It's really awesome! It's free because there are adds for mortgage companies and credit cards, but they are all on their own section so you don't even see them AND they are actually good offers if you are interested in transferring a balance, etc.

You can keep track of all your debt but also all of your savings - IRA, 401(k), value of your home and vehicles, etc.

I also vote for mint.com :) We love it and have been using it for almost 2 years now i think. Its great and they keep coming up with new stuff. Now there is a tool for you to pick a goal to save towards and it will help you figure out how to get there and remind you. It really helps us budget our money monthly and yearly.

Yep, mint.com, as everyone is saying! My husband and I are both accountants. He handles our personal money stuff, and really likes the site. It pulls your information from everywhere - credit cards, utilities, etc. - which helps us see where we do our spending and where we can cut back. I know it does have payment reminders, as well as "goal" features where you can work to set aside money for goals (for example college funds, vacations). Good luck!

Hi J.!
My name is K. and I am liscensed in the finance industry. I help families budget and put together complimentary financial plans and provide them with financial education. I have personally worked with a number of families, schools and organizations. They have given me nothing but great comments on my services. If you would like to work with someone personally for free and not a website or maybe meet for coffee somewhere I can show you how I have helped other families and how I could possibly help yours. Mom to mom, I know how tight things can get and how frustrating it is to try and figure it all out. I can help you out :)
