Looking for a Good Highchair

Hey mamas. I'm looking for a new high chair for my 6 month old son and just can't seem to find the right thing. The one I had for my daughter was bulky and a pain to clean so we're looking for something different. We were looking at the Peg Perego Prima Pappa but I read a lot of reviews saying that children couldn't even reach the tray table no matter how it was adjusted and that it was terrible to clean. We were also looking at the leap frog one but didn't think it looked as comfortable. I know my daughter took naps in her highchair a lot so I want to be sure it's comfortable enough for naps. Just wondering what others of you use and like or don't like!

Prima Pappa is terrible to clean - major ordeal. It is comfy, but the cleaning is not fun. We used the fisher price one that attaches to a chair after he was about 1, and we loved it!

We have a Chicco and are happy with it. Folds up nice for storage and transport. My DD is now almost 3 and we use it instead of a booster at the diningroom table. She has often napped in her highchair and we just lean it back when she does. When she was smaller I'd keep her in it in the kitchen while I cooked. Locking wheels, two trays (plus the actual tray) and I found it pretty easy to clean. Still looks good 3 years later. Chicco in general has great customer service. We have their travel system, too, and it's in such good shape we're passing it to my sister.

I have an Eddie Bauer wooden high chair. I LOVE it and it's super easy to clean. It did come with a cover/cushion and my kids have all fell asleep in it before. The thing I like the most about it is that it will last for years and years to come.

I use the Fisher Price Space Saver for my twins. They strap to a chair, which I liked because I didn't have to take it out multiple times a day, and I didn't need to store it anywhere since it stays on the chairs. It does tilt back, so if your son ever fell asleep he would be fine.

I don't remember the brands anymore, but we LOVED the highchairs that attach to a kitchen chair. It saves space, was easy to bring along when we went out to eat or visited relatives, and both children used them as boosters until they were big enough to reach the table.

We too have a Stokke Tripp Trapp chair. It was so worth the money since my son is four now and still uses it! And it is very comfortable (probably not for napping though). We loved the fact our son could sit at the table with us for meals.

I also have a Chicco high chair and I love it too! I've used it with 2 kids so far and will be using it when my baby gets old enough to eat from it. It still looks great and cleans easy.

Chicco all the way! I got it used and one of the straps was broken, but I called and they sent me a new one and it arrived in two days. EXCELLENT customer service :D
Fairly easy to clean, easy to use, gets really small when folded, two trays which surprisingly was nice (I used to thing it was silly . . .now I have a toddler), My son doesn't take naps anywhere but my arms, his bed, or his car seat, but I'm sure it would be comfy to!!

I love the Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair (http://www.allmodernbaby.com/Stokke-144413-SKK1409.html) It has a harness for when they are little and pulls right up to the table. (Apparently they also make a tray for it now - didn't used to). The seat and foot rest heights are adjustable and the chair can be used as a regular chair later (I think for up to 200 lbs). It comes in great modern colors and IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A HIGH CHAIR. The down sides - it's $229 and it's a bit of a pain to clean. It is WAY more comfortable than it looks.

I have a Baby Trend and it is the best!
It has 3 reclining positions, it's on wheels that can lock, has a tray with removable insert that can be run through dishwasher, removable and washable seat cover, adjustable height, 5 point harness, footrest, and folding.
I'm telling you, we love it! My oldest used it until we had our second, 2 1/2 years! Now it is almost 4 years old and is still in great condition!

I have never had a child who slept in the highchair but I love mine that just secures to a regular chair. I think anything that is pretty comfy is going to be hard to clean. Mine is just solid plastic and wipes easy & takes up no more space than the chair it's in! My 3 yr old used it and now my 9 month old is using it. I would buy another one in a heartbeat!

I used that Prima Poppa for my nephew and did not like it either, it was a real pain to clean. Too many nooks and crannies and frankly, I am not that detail oriented to get it really clean. I like my Fisher Price space saver high chair for my DD. It just fits on top of a chair. To clean you just take the seat cover off and throw it in the washer. I am not sure about naps in it though, never tried that but I know it does recline. Good luck!

Not necessarily nap worthy, but we absolutely LOVE our Keekaroo Height Right Chair. Infant to child... one chair! Our daughter is 3 now and uses it as her dining chair. Super easy to clean, adjusts to multiple ages/heights, made from sustainable materials, versatile, stable, and a small footprint. Check them out on Facebook.

We initially used the Chicco (and I love the brand, I really do--we love our Keyfit 30) highchair but we found ourselves continually tripping over the extra wide base. It does clean easily, still looks new, and folds down small but it just takes up a lot of floor space.

We bought a Chicco Polly High Chair in the Splash pattern and LOVED it.
It is very nap worthy. It is on the second child and still looks brand new and still functions like it too. It is so adjustable and well made I can't say enough about it. The Chicco brand really lasts. I am still in love with our 3 year old Chicco Cortina stroller too.

We also bought a Fisher Price Space Saver and I can't stand that thing. It was not worth the money at all.

I loved our Stokke chair. We used it at the dinner table until my daughter was eight. Now we use it as her piano stool. Well worth the money.

I had a chicco and it was such a waste of money. The material stained very easity, it was big, and we only used it for a very short time. I guess if your kids love to eat then you can stick them in there for a while but my son would not stay anywhere by himself for more than 10 or 15 minutes. I would get the little chair with the small removable tray that you can put on any chair. Its cheaper and will go much further as your child can use it as a booster.

I agree with Melissa G. The Fisher Price Space Saver is the absolute perfect "high" chair. It straps to your regular chair so it does not take up additionaly floor space. The tray is easy to attatch and remove. Cleaning is a breeze. And my boy could have napped in his, if the occasion had come up.
