I am trying to find a good pediatrician in the Orange / Brea / Fullerton or Yorba Linda area for my tween-ager. If any moms out there could give me any referrals I would sure appreciate it.
We love our current pediatrician in Huntington Beach but need one closer and easier to get to.

He specializes in sports medicine, which is GREAT if your kids do sports.
We go to Dr. Bruner in Tustin...www.pam4kids.com. I have young children, but I see a lot of teens coming and going from the practice. I also have a former co-worker whose teenage daughter goes there. We haven't talked about the practice in particular, but I know she's gone there since she was a baby. My doctor was among a list of docs recommended to me when my son was in the NICU at CHOC. The practice is well established and we've liked every dr we've seen there.

S. - my pediatrician is great, but is in Tustin, which is a little farther than Orange, but a lot closer than Huntington Beach. His name is Dr. Paul Genser, ###-###-####. He is part of St Joseph Heritage Medical Group, so has the advantage of having an urgent care available after hours and on weekends. However, he is a he, and if you child is a girl, she might feel more comfortable during the tweenager stage with a woman doctor. Something else you might consider is looking for a family practitioner who has a lot of teens on their panel. A lot of FPs see children as young as 12-13 (sometimes younger), do a great job and have the advantage of being able to see your child past the age of 18. Good luck!
