Looking for a Good "Pick Your Own" Apple Orchard

Last year we went to All Seasons Apple Orchard in Woodstock. It was great but am looking for any other suggestions for good apple orchards in the area. We live in West Dundee. Looking for fun things for the kids to do and an orchard that has honey crisps :) Any recommendations other than Apple Holler would be great!

Thanks!

My family and I have been going to Edwards Orchard (as posted by another) for numerous years, and we love going every year as a family tradition. We like it because there is no general admission (as of 2008; we haven't gone yet this year), and it is not a "super-duper" place with so many things that you can't possibly get to all of them (or go broke by paying for them all). Definitely get the cider donuts (sooooo delicious). Might be a bit of a drive, but I think it's worth it. Hope you find a great place to start a tradition!

Hi! We go to All Seasons every year also (live in Lake in the Hills), but was searching for new places this year too! I found one that looks really nice, but it's near Elburn, which is a little bit of a drive. We haven't been, but the website looks like it would be a lot of fun. It's called Kuipers Family Farm. Have fun wherever you end up!

Royal Oak Farm Orchard in Harvard is really nice and alot of fun for the kids. I live in Lake in the Hills and its a little far-maybe 30-45 minutes, but a nice drive. We go every year and my kids just love it. They have a train, a carousel, a petting zoo...

Here's the website.

There's one on Thompson Road in Woodstock. A friend of mine from elementary school's parents own it. I can't remember the name, but if you google it or look up the Woodstock Farmer's Market (they go there) you should be able to find them. We are going to go there this year!

I am fed up with the woodstock apple orchards, I think they are way too expensive and have too many rules. I absolutely LOVE royal oak farm orchard as listed by another person here. They are so kind and don't mind if you taste an apple before you pick a bunch. There are so many things for the kids to climb on that are free and a couple rides that you have to pay extra for.

We go to Kuipers' family farm in Maple Park, IL. We live in Algonquin and it's about a 30-45 minute drive. We have lots of fun there and plan to continue every year.

Edwards Apple Orchard is really nice too- here is their website- they do have a minimum that you can pick but you can share it with your friends and family that way!
