What area do you live in? Are you looking for a preschool/daycare combo or just a preschool? You may want to check the website for the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) for listing of accredited schools.

J.,
I run a home based Montessori Preschool. I am open from 7:30am to 6:00pm. I have all of the Montessori materials you would find at a school but in a loving home environment. I have my masters in education and my montessori certificates. I also have a bs in Elementary education and a minor in child develpoment. Please visit my website at www.LittleHandsMN.com for more information. I would love to set up a tour with you and answer any questions you have about Montessori. We currently have summer openings and we are located in Brooklyn Park. My phone number is ###-###-####.
Thanks J.
All schools have cliques. The best thing you can do is to teach your child by example how not to exclude others because of perceived differences. Kids can be massively cruel. I remember going through hell whilst growing up. However, I was listening to MPR about a month or two ago when they had a guy on who had written a book about how our childhood experiences prepare us for how we'll do in life later on. He found that the kids who were the stars in school and never faced adversity were the ones most likely to crash and burn when faced with adversity at college. The kids who were forced to deal with getting through adversity whilst young thrived and excelled later in life. I don't think you do your child a favour by not letting them work through adversity. Of course you want to and should be there with advice and moral support, but this is part of growing up.
