We bought our daughter's twin mattress at Costco. Great price, great quality. YOu just have to get it home yourself. We were able to fit it into our Camry.

Hello everyone.
So it's time I switch my 3 yr old baby girl over to a twin size bed. I'm half way there. I bought a bunk bed, I'll be using the top bunk (on floor level) with the railings to keep her from falling out and the other bunk will be stored away for now.
Ok, so now I need a mattress. I'm finding some really expensive mattresses on line and I'm at an outrage. Do mattresses really cost more than the actual bed? Does anyone have any idea where I should go shopping for a good quality but not too expensive mattress? I live near S. Pasadena/ Alhambra but, willing to drive a bit for a good deal.
Thank you, M.

Hi M.,
I don't know if you already know, but for the top bunk bed you need a thinner mattress. Even if you are having the top bunk on the floor you will probably shuold get that type of mattress, otherwise the regular mattress will be up to the top of the rail. You can get a very good mattress at Sams Club for about $100.
Try IKEA, they have a good selection from very inexpensive to right up there and a wide range of different materials
