If you are looking to tone up callenetics is the way to go. Its old & looks easy, but it is really hard to do all the reps. And best of all you notice a difference in just a couple of days.
I am looking for a good workout dvd that will really kick my butt. I only have time for a dvd that is 35-50 minutes long. Any recommendations?

Taebo - they are usually around 45 minutes and I'm always sweating at the end. Great calorie burning cardio and you only need a pair of gym shoes.
I borrowed my brother's p90x DVDs to see what it was all about and it seemed to be very expensive and a lot of equipment was used that I wasn't willing to buy. It came with about 6 DVDs and was confusing to me.
I really like Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, Turbo Jam and Windsor Pilates. I usually do one 20 minute 30 Day Shred Workout (which gets me huffing and puffing), then a 10 minute AbJam workout (part of the Turbo Jam series), then do the lower leg workout from Windsor Pilates. Altogether it's about 40 minutes and I REALLY feel like this combination works my entire body and gives me a real challenge. Other days, I'll do the TurboSculpt routine from TurboJam with the AbJam. And on other days, I'll hop onto my elliptical machine for an hour and catch up on some TV. Some days, I'll just do one 30Day Shred workout (really that alone is enough, but I like to push myself). I get bored really easily but I enjoy working out, so I try to change it up a lot...

Turbo Jam! It's great!
I LOVE "booty sculpt" within the Turbo Jam series. My Turbo Jam set has 2 DVDs with a few workouts on each which are all great to rotate. Booty sculpt is 1/2 hour and sculpts every muscle with excellent cardio. I always feel firmer all over the very next day.

Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Its inexpensive (about $10), you need handweights (I have 3 and 5 pound ones)...and a mat if on hard surface. But I just started Level 2 of it, and find a mat (I had one) helpful for all the "plank" moves to keep my hands from sliding on my berber carpet. Made it ALOT easier with my hands in place. Its about a 20 minute workout, but I do more stretching than they do on the video.
P90X....best workout I've ever done! Body changing!
im on day 12 of the 30 day shred, i hate to reiterate but i like it alot, i can commit to 20 minutes a day, even though it killed my shins until i switched to level 2

Pilates!!! Low impact, easy on the back and boy howdy will it kick your Rear! I did it for just 2 weeks before my wedding a while back and lost like 15 lbs and way toned up. Super great!!! Plus it's actually pretty relaxing...
