Looking for a Orthopedic Doctor

I had what was called knee reconstuction 27 years ago when I was 19. The surgeon I had was great, but since has passed away. I have seen a doctor in Elmhurst for the last few years he told me years ago I needed a knee replacement. I wasn't ready. My father had his knee replaced by this Elmhurst doctor 9 years ago and ( it sounds strange) he clicks when he walks. So I was wondering if anyone can recomened a good ortho?
Thank You

One of the very best is Dr. Marc Asselmeier with DuPage Medical Group...I've had to go to one twice and he's tops. For example, while waiting for my appointment with him, people in the waiting room, were chatting with each other about how great he is...found this very unusual as most people waiting just sit and keep quiet. I can't say enough good about him! Plus he was recommended to me by another Dr. who is a friend of mine. Dr's know who's good! Go to the Dr. that the other Dr's go to!!!

Dr James Hill. He is with Northwestern and he is amazing. He did mine and he was honest and a great doctor.

Dr. Brian McCall at Resurrection Medical Center###-###-####,
I had the same problem when I was 17 I am now 52 and Dr. McCall is great, I am going to have knee replacement with him next year, he is trying to wait a few years or until I am ready. He has done surgery on my big toe, replaced the bones with rods and my heal and I have and no problems at all. They are all great in the office too.

Dr. Gordon Nuber out of Northwestern is great. He's a doctor for the Bears. He did an ACL repair and meniscus repair on me. He was also named as one of the best doctors in Chicago magazine. He's out of Northwestern Orthopedic - ###-###-####.

He is very busy though, so you don't get to spend too much time meeting with him - but he seems to be the best at what he does in surgery.

There's a guy at Rush, I think his name is Dr. Berger, that did my friend's knees and she raves about him.
Good luck!

M and M Orthopedics has a very good reputation. My husband had his achilles tendon repaired by a doctor there and I refer kids that I treat in Early Intervention to the pediatric ortho's there.
