Looking for a Place to Have a Birthday Party for My 13 Year Old Son

I have seen a commercial for a place called "Itz" or something like that, in Spring (TX). I haven't been able to find it online. Is anyone familiar with this place? Also, my son has been talking about having his party at a paintball place in Tomball. I hate guns but guess this is pretty safe from what I have read. If you have had a paintball party, please let me know what you think of that idea for a 13 year old with mostly 12 year old friends. Any other suggestions are also appreciated.

So What Happened?

Thanks for your help, everyone! I reserved a party at #1 Paintball in Tomball. Looks like it will be a great choice, based on looking at their website and hearing all of your comments. My other son turned 10 this month and I'm having his at It'Z, so thanks for your input on that one, also. Unfortunately, my almost 13 year old was sick today and still feels bad so he'll be out of school again tomorrow. Sure hope he is a lot better on Saturday! Besides breaking his heart, I have a $50 deposit to consider.

I jus tpassed by the "IT'Z" place and remembered that you were looking for it. (You might have found it by now.)

It's on 249 just north of 1960 on the south-bound side.

I would say, go for paintball. My friends son is really in to it and they are having a party with all his friends that are the same age as your son. I have been to ITZ and don't recommend it for teens. My nephew who turned 10 had his party there. I think it is for the younger group. What about a skating party? I went to one and they rent the builing for 2 hrs. with no other people. The kiddos had a great time! It is called Champions Skating Rink.

We have been to Itz, and everyone had fun! It is on FM 249 in the Willowbrook Mall area. The southbound side of 249 next to the Movie Tavern!

Itz is located at 249 and 1960, close to Willowbrook Mall.
I have a friend who had her daughter's party there last year, and they do have a really nice set-up with private party rooms and an attendant for each room. They have a nicer pizza buffet than some of the places that I have been too, and more food for the parents too. They also have a ride built in to the building that is a lot of fun for the kiddos, as well as indoor mini bowling and all kinds of other games you would expect to find at that type of place. It was a nice party for the most part, but her complaint was the time spent there, as well as the money for just a few hours. You may find that your money could be used more wisely at another venue. It's definitely worth checking out though, the kids loved it. BTW, her daughter turned 11 last year.

There is an Itz at 249 right in the Louetta area... it's on the west side of 249. Another idea is to go to Laser Quest.. We just went to one for a 12 year old and my boys have so much fun!! It's on 1960 right in the Champions area. It's pretty much at Cutten and 1960. That's another option! Have fun!!

I'm not sure if you're interested in any other places for your son's birthday party, but you might want to check out www.stonemoves.com. My nephew had his party there last year & they loved it. It's fun for all ages, even the adults! They are a rock climbing facility located off of FM 1960.

Here is the website for IT'Z - http://www.itzusa.com/. It's a great place to have birthday parties. It's similar to Chuck E Cheese, but with an all-you-can eat buffet, and one large amusement-type ride. There are lots of games to win tickets for prizes that the older kids might enjoy, but most of the rides are focused on the younger kids.

If you are willing to come to the Willowbrook area, then you may want to check out Stone Move. It is at the corner of Cutten and 1960 in the Willowbrook area. It is all rock-wall climbing, with different levels of difficulty. They also host birthday parties.

iTZ is a fun place I guess. I've been there once. Pizza buffet and lots of games. It is on 249, just north of 1960 on the West side of the highway. The website is www.itzusa.com. Paintball would be a BLAST for a bunch of boys!! I've played several times and had a great time. Have never been here in Houston but there are several places to go. Find an outdoor one, much better than indoors. And it's safe. Well, you get bruises if you get hit but other than that, face and eye protection is mandatory. It really is a lot of fun!! I'd vote for paintball. Take a picnic lunch or order pizza and let them run around all afternoon! (Kids play too much video game already, if you ask me.)

'Itz' is pretty fun place, especially for a 13 year old, but beware - it is crowded and there are many families / groups there that do not watch their children and are very rude. The food area was very crowded when I was there and kids would just run into you and practically almost knock you down, while your hands are full of your plate and your child's plate, etc. It was extremely annoying. As I remember, it was reasonably priced and the tokens for the games / rides lasted a long time. The food was average and there was alot to choose from. I don't know what their party package prices are. It seemed like a safe place to have a party for 13 year olds. All in all, it was fun for my husband and I, our 18 month old girl, my sister-in law and her children, ages 11, 10, 2, and 8 months (well I am not sure how much fun 8 month old Callie had!), and my father and step-mother, Nana and PawPaw! P.S. I don't know their phone number, but they are located on 249 (Tomball Parkway) at Grant Road, in the same building as the new Movie Tavern. Good Luck!

D.,
go for paintball my son turned 12 on the 18th and we are doing his party there. He asked for it too. Itz is for younger kids like 10 and below even though our 12 year olds will probally still go there. Don't worry they give them gear to protect themselves from injury.

My 13 year old son and several of his friends have had birthday parties at #1 Paintball in Tomball and they had a great time. I think ITZ is more for younger kids.
