Does anyone know of a place that I could post some of my small video clips to share with friends and family that is either free or a small fee. They are too big to send as attachments. I am looking for something almost like a snapfish, kodakgallery etc. but for video clips instead. Thanks

www.dropshots.com is great! It's free and if you download the drop box, it's a super easy upload. Pics and videos.

If they have a 'referral' you can use my name.. csalbego.

Thanks!

Phanfare.com. It's an awesome way to create your own website and it allows for unlimited pics and video storage for about $55 per year. If you use them, let them know that N. D. sent you. I am very impressed with them.

Hi D.,

Those are all great suggestions. If you're looking for something a little more personal and customizable you might want to check out smugmug.com. For $5 a month you can store (& retrieve) all of your full size high resolution photos and videos. You get your own web address. There are no ads. You can password protect your galleries or the entire site. You can order prints & photo gifts and tons more. Here's a list of everything it can do: http://www.smugmug.com/price/. You'll want to check out the "Power" account in order to be able to add videos.

I have two galleries of my own on smugmug (a personal one and a pro site) and I just love it! It's super easy to add photos & videos and organize them all. Here's my personal one if you want to check it out: http://hackbarth.smugmug.com. I get compliments from friends and family all the time on how easy it is to find the pictures they're looking for, keep up with what's going on in our family and download the photos they like at full resolution.

If you end up wanting to try it out there's a free 2 week trial. And you can use this coupon code for $5 off if you decide to go with it: OShGVxo4byOBk. After that if any of your friends or family decide to sign up and they use you as a referral you'll get $10 off your renewal! I haven't had to pay for my site since the first time I signed up! =)

Good luck and happy sharing!
L.

If the video clips are taken with a digital camera, then you can load them onto Kodak Gallery the same way you would a photo. If they are with a camcorder, myspace or utube.

You can post video clips on Photobucket, and it is free. Also Dropshots. I wouldn't put anything on myspace or youtube...youtube would be open to the public too.

Picassa, Google's picture program, has an online web gallery that is free and you can post pictures and video there. At least I've been able to post those 30-second videos that my digital camera takes, so the family can see them. You can make a gallery private too, so that only those you give the link to can see the gallery.
