Hello, my son is almost 2 months old and I was wondering if there were any playgroups in the st. pete area. I know 2 months old can only play so much, however I think it would do us BOTH good to get out of the house. Please let me know if you know of any outings and such. We both really appreciate it~ :)

St Pete Working Moms is a Support/Playgroup for families in Pinellas County including, but not limited to St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Kenneth City, Seminole, Clearwater, Largo, Safety Harbor, St. Pete Beach, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island, Indian Rocks, Gulfport and for any nearby Hillsborough County members willing to travel to Pinellas for our group's activities and playgroups.
The majority, if not all, of our events and activities take place in the evenings and weekends so we can accommodate our working mom's busy schedules.
We participate in Home playdates, Area Attraction playdates, Themed playdates, Craft Playdates, Holiday Parties, Story Time, Puppet Shows, Family Picnics, Beach Days, Park Days, Mom's Night Out events, Mommy and Me Stroller Walks and Scrapbooking.
Our member-only website has access to local family-friendly activities listed in our calendar section along with links to area resources in our links section.
Our members also can post pictures, descriptions and contact info in our photos section for Children, Family and/or Home items for sale. We also use this area to post pictures from playgroups, area activities and personal photo albums to share with the group.
We are a very diverse group, accepting moms from all walks of life. Although the majority of our members are working mothers, we accept membership from stay-at-home mothers and pregnant mothers too. Our children are just as diverse, ranging from Newborn to school age.
Our group will give you support, friendship and most of all FUN for you and your children.

My name is C. Bruner and I am a Certified Instructor for StrollerFit International. Recently, we have started classes all over the Tampa Bay region, and I would love for you to join us for a FREE class.
StrollerFit offers moms a great way to work out while having baby right there with them - no worries about how they are doing in the day care in the gym (if the gym even has one!...). We play, sing and interact with the kids throughout the entire cardio & strength training workout. This program is for ALL MOMS, no matter what your fitness level is now. All exercises are easily adjustable to various intensity levels.
Currently, I offer classes Monday through Friday mornings, as well as Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings for working moms. Mornings are indoors in the Pasadena area for the summer, evening class is at Demens Landing Park downtown St. Pete.

I don't know if this would be too far but in Largo at My Little Playtown every Wednesday there is a New Moms group at 11am. I really enjoy getting out and talking to other moms while the babies get exposure to other little ones. Its worth a try!
