Looking for a Preschool in the Woodbridge Area

I'm looking for a good preschool in the Woodbridge area for my 3 year old that is reasonably priced but still a good school. We live near Opitz and Route 1, close to Potomac Hospital and Wegmans. I prefer part time and I would like it to include various social, academic and physical activities and I am looking for more of a preschool rather than daycare.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

We've applied at Old Bridge Preschool, I was very impressed by the tour. We will see if we make the lottery, if not, we will still be looking. Thanks for all the help.

For the past 3 years, one or more of my kids have attended Little Hands Preschool (http://fupcdc.org/preschool.asp) and another one I've heard good things about is Good Shepherd Lutheran Playschool (http://www.goodshepherdlutheran.us/play_school.htm).

I have friends whose children attend Cloverdale School (http://www.cloverdaleschool.org/), and also St. Francis in Triangle (http://www.stfas.org/)

There is a new childcare/preschool facility opening on Rt 1, close to you, that looks wonderful: Creme de la Creme (http://www.cremedelacreme.com)

Now is the time to register. Most preschools begin open registration & lottery drawings in late Jan./early Feb. Good luck with choosing the best one for your family.

I'm not sure where you live, but I've heard really good things about the Woodbine Preschool Center that is part of the Woodbine Worship Center. Its in Independent Hill, nearHoadly Rd./ 234.

A.,

I send my kids to Old Bridge Preschool at the Old Bridge United Methodist Church located on Westridge and Old Bridge Road. The kids really enjoy going to school and making new friends. The teachers are great and always available to speak with you when you have any concerns. They start accepting new families in February I believe so you may want to check them out soon. I have also heard good things about Cloverdale and St. Matthews preschools. All of those schools offer part time mornings and afternoons. Hope this helps.

A., my grandson attend Morningstar Child Development Center in Woodbridge across the street from Garfield High School. It's located inside the Church of the Nazarene and it's a Christian school as well. He's been going for the last 4 years and it's been awesome.
