Hi L.,
My son attends VA Academy in Ashburn, VA. He is an August baby and started their program at 2. The school is a Christian-based school and is located in the Community Church on Rt. 7. He is very happy there.
Hope this helps
I've called tons of preschools to find that almost all follow Loudoun County Public Schools policy on a toddler being 2 1/2 by Sept. 30. Anyone know of a pre-school program that will take a toddler who will be 2 1/2 in December?

My 2 yr old will be in the 2.5 year old class at Golden Pond in Ashburn (behind Bloom) this fall. There is a young 2.5 year old class there, but I don't remember the cut-off date and I didn't see it on their website. Another plus about Golden Pond is that they 2.5 year olds don't have to be potty-trained, but they do for the 3.5 year old class.
I have had many freinds use Sterling Baptist with rave reviews.

Claude Moore / Sterling Annex has 2 1/2 year program. Not sure of cut off.
There are some Mom's Morning out Programs in Broadlands.
We just recently completed the entire process of looking at preschools for our nearly 3 year old son.....I don't think I found a program that would accept children that weren't 2.5 years old. Perhaps you can find a daycare center that would take your child until he/she is 2 1/2?
Best wishes
My daughter went to KinderCare which is both a daycare and a pre-school. I believe they have a mixed age group in their pre-school room but I'm not sure what age it starts. I love KinderCare (particularly the one on Railstop Terrace in Ashburn, formerly Mulberrry Childcare & Pre-School) and the people are great. I recommend you give them a call to find out what your options are.
Hello L. L
You may want to call La Petite Academy. They are located on Ashburn Village Blvd. My son was 3 when he started there, but I believe they have a preschool program there for children younger than 3. It was a really good learning experience for my son, and he enjoyed the program. I hope this helps.
I know that the Destiny Preschool for the Arts will accept a 2 1/2 year old. You can find them at Destinycreativeartscenter.com
It may be a bit far for you, but Spring-Mar has a 2yo program 2days/week (your child has to turn 2 by Nov). www.spring-mar.org
Hi L.,
Our kids both 6 and 8 went to Montessori School of Leesburg. Our youngest started at 2 1/2 and is in her 4th year finishing kindergarten this year. We have absolutely loved our experience and they have a great program for 2 1/2 year olds. From what I have seen if your 2 year old is not at the half way point on the first day of school they will let you start when the child is at a later date.
Good luck,
S. T.

Hello L.,
I don't know if your speaking of Loudoun Co, VA but. I live just across the boarder in Jefferson Co, WV. My son now 4 attends a preschool here named Small Scholars Preschool. They have programs for 2's where the requirement in being 2 by Dec. 31st and potty training isn't required either. They are located here in Charles Town, VW. I have had great experiences with them over the past 2 years. They have a website with more details you might want check out. I hope this helps you. Have a great day.
Sincerely,

Hi Lynn. I guess it depends on if you want a full-day program or half-day, or if you need enrichment or an extended program.
Here in Ashburn, there are quite a few options ranging from preschools to in-home preschool to Moms Morning Out. Contact the MOMs Clubs in Ashburn to see if you can get the preschool list that they compiled in January for their Preschool Forum -- moms come together to share their experiences with the various preschools in the area.
