Have you tried driving around the neighborhoods you want to live in & looking for "For Rent" signs? That's worked well for us.

Our home is for rent in the Las Sendas neighborhood, not sure if you like the high prices but we swindled our deal and love the neighborhood. I am not the home owner but a renter. We have a four bedroom home with three bathrooms.

Queen Creek is really nice. My friend rents a house there. She is in Johnson Ranch. she was renting a large home just off Ocotillo & Ellsworth. I am not sure of the name of the community but I do know the names of the streets were Greek God names and such. We were going to buy a house in QC before we were transfered to TX. I know you said no to San Tan Valley, but if you consider it, Copper Basin is a wonderful master plan community to look into

Good luck!

I just thought I'd throw out another option. Do you currently have a rental contract? The AZ Landlord-Tenant Act provides that if you have a lease agreement in place, and not a month to month, they must allow you to stay until the lease is up even if the house is foreclosed upon.

Also, some banks have been allowing renters to stay provided that they pay rent to the bank. Do you know which bank is foreclosing? If not, you can look up the notice of trustee's sale recorded at the maricopa county recorder's website (usually listed by the owner's name). Then you can contact the bank to ask if you can stay. Good luck! I wish my rental property at Gilbert and Baseline was empty, but we currently have a renter.

www.aznb.com You have to register, but they don't spam you. You can look at a map of neighborhoods, click on them and see houses for sale, sold and rent.
