Hello Ladies,

I'm into the 5th month in my second pregnancy and since money is tight I don't want to spend a buch of money on maternity clothes. I made the mistake of giving away all of my old maternity clothes and know I'm in need of some.

Can anybody give me some advice.

Thank you

I Just had my 5th, and I found that Ross has AWESOME prices. The selection is somewhat limited, but their stuff is trendy and not at all matronly or stuffy.

Also, the Just Between Friends sale in Ft. Worth is coming up (feb 23-28? maybe). Their prices are excellent.

look on craigslist. I see a lot of people selling maternity clothes there in the baby/kid section.

Hi A.,

Someone else mentioned Ross which I second. I got some great maternity jeans there. Also, Burlington coat Factory has some really great deals on maternity office wear. Not suits, but nice professional looking clothes. I also see a lot of maternity clothes at Upscale Resale on Campbell in Richardson. They are the store for the Lifesavers charity which benefits crisis pregnancy centers etc.http://www.lifesaversfoundation.org/resaleshop.shtml

Good luck!

Sales are everywhere right now for winter clothes - Target, Gap, Motherhod Maternity. Also resale shops like Kid-to-Kid have a decent selection!

What size are you pants-wise? I think I still have 1 black, 1 brown, 1 denim. I just hit TJ Maxx/Marshalls, etc for the tops and maybe only got about 10 tops total. I'm not a clothes horse, so it didn't bother me to not have a huge choice of stuff for a short time. If I spent much more than $100 on maternity clothes, I'd be surprised :)

I went to some of the resale shops and got the majority of my maternity tops. I also did the BeBand thing and wore alot of my pants for a good bit of the 9months. I hope this helps. There is a lot of good resale shops in the Garland area when it comes to maternity clothes. Wish you luck with you new baby!!!

In addition to buying a few items at Ross, I purchased a BeBand at Target. I'm 7 months pregnant and the BeBand allows me to wear many of my pre-pregnancy pants unzipped, really stretching my wardrobe.

Old Navy in Rockwall has maternity clothes. Always priced right and when they go on sale, even better prices.

You may want to join the www.freecycle.com in your area and ask for maternity clothes. You might end up with all you need for free. Freecycle is wonderful!

Walmart and you can go to walmart.com and order some online as well, if you know your sizes. I think theres a better selection online and they're cheap and cute.

Good luck to you!
