Looking for Alternative Medicine Doctor

Looking for recommendations on alternative health doctors in the Frisco/Plano area preferrably. I already go to a chiropractor but that is all he does. If I have to I'll drive to Dallas but not Ft. Worth area. I am looking for someone who specializes in women disorders such as hormone imbalances, IBS, stress/anxiety, etc. After many years of going to doctors who just want to prescribe drugs that cause more "side effects" and problems than the reason you went...I'm fed up with that route. Any recommendations appreciated!

What can I do next?

Dr. Stephen Duncan is great. He is located in Dallas though, at Royal and 75. Very well worth the drive. I was really sick when I was at college and the doctors just about gave up b/c they couldn't figure it out. I came back to Dallas and went to him and he "cured" me without any medicine. He changed my diet and got me on supplements that had absolutely no side effects. I am currently seeing him for my prenatal vitamins and they are so much better than what my ob even prescribes. http://www.holisticbodyworker.com/

If you would consider driving to Denton, my new doctor, Dr. Linda Yeatts, is AMAZING!! She is particularly wonderful with women and natural cures for hormonal stress. She has been very open, calls me personally every time I have a question (which has been about 3 times in the last month!) She remembers who I am, what she has put me on, and encouraged very specific vitamins to complement the other supplements/ medicines, that she has given me. She is looking at all options, even ones that other doctors have told me not to even worry about. OK, can you tell that I love her yet? She is right by Denton Presby hospital. I hope you find what you are looking for! ~A.~

D., I'm with ya, hon. I suffered with all of those same issues until I was finally treated for breast cancer over 5 years ago. My best find for an alternative doc was Dr. Steve Homoky in Plano. He's an acupuncturist who specializes in NAET (www.NAET.com), as well as Body Restoration Technique. Over the course of 6 months, he eliminated my food sensitivities (esp. my severe lactose intolerance!) as well as energetically balancing my hormones. This was a big plus, since I've been in & out of menopause several times from the chemo. His # is ###-###-####. I know he's out of town right now, so another good acupuncturist who also specializes in women's issues is Audra Whatley in McKinney. ###-###-####. If it's real drugs you seek, check out Living Well Dallas. They have quite a variety of alternative practitioners, including MD's who work with bio-identical hormones etc. They are located just off the Tollway & Frankford. ###-###-####.

If you are interested, I'm actually speaking on all of the different alternative healthcare things I've done since finishing my cancer treatments on Sunday at Unity Dallas. It's at 10 a.m. before the service begins. Hope this helps! Feel free to call me direct, too, at ###-###-####.
