Looking for an as Needed Babysitter

I am 5 months pregnant, working full X, and exhausted. I have an energectic 4 y/o & I am looing for a responsible college student in the South Edgebrook/Jefferson Park Area to babysit as needed. I placed an add in the paper and had way too many calls to sort. It seemed more that half of the people that responded never read the add and were looking for full X work. I never thought it would be so painful to find a babysitter. Does anyone have helpful referrals. I want my child to be in my home when I need a sitter.

I placed an ad on sittercity.com and found two college girls who watch my 6 month old son on a part time basis. Most of the people on sittercity are college students or young professionals looking to make a little more money. There is a charge but it is less than $20.00 and you will be able to see some the profiles of the girls or guys before you meet them. Most of them have references listed on the profiles as well. Good luck.

Check and see if your company has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). If they do, many of these will offer childcare screening services based on your criteria free of charge to you. They make the telephone calls from their various databases to see what they can locate. Check with your HR Department if you don't know if your company offers one.

Best of luck.

Which paper did you put the add in? I am in need of a full-time/part-time sitter (college student preferred) for my 7 year old daughter. Before and after school until her daddy get's home. If you could forward the text of your ad and maybe even some of the phone numbers of the respondants I would really appreciate it. Otherwise the name of the newspaper that you used should do me fine.

Thanks
