My 18 year old sister-in-law lives in McKinney and she babysits. Several of her clients are moms on this board. She keeps my kids too, and plays with them the entire time! Try www.seekingsittersfrisco.com, www.care.com, and www.sittycity.com . They are prescreened and checked. You could interview a couple candidates and hopefully find the perfect person for your family! There are several college and HS girls there.
Also, if you're attending a local church, that's a great place to ask around. Are you in any play groups or neighborhood activities? That's where I've found some good names too. We have a babysitting co-op and also share contact info for local sitters in my mom's club. (www.momsclub.org)
My 21 year old daughter is a full-time college student and an after-school nanny (for a mom on this board) who is always looking for evening and weekend sitting jobs. (One of her regulars is also a mom on this board). She has a complete resume with references, if you are interested.

When our daughter was little, I walked a lot in the mornings and afternoons. I found one of the best sitters we had at the school bus stop.
Another source was our neighborhood has a website and there is a secured list of babysitters. We found another one that way when she was a Jr in High School. When she moved to college her younger sister (who just graduated this past May) stepped in for 2 years.
Also, check out the high schools. Ask the counselors. I know the Honor Society has some good students in it and you might get some leads. Another source is to advertise with the community college.
