Hello there ladies..you are ALWAYS so helpful so I am turning to you again. My 3 and 5 year old girls want to take ballet. They are both a little reserved and shy so it is best if I find a no frills in home class vs. a studio. Any suggestions??

My girls also both want to play soccer but I can't find an organization that will allow 3 year olds.

Thanks again in advance,
S.

What can I do next?

I would try your cities recreation center for dance. It is less expensive and a great way to see if it is something they are interested in... Soccer is usually started in Kindergarten. It is a hard game for a 3 year old to completely understand.

We attend Encore School of Dance and my 4yr old loves it. They start when they are 3.

BTW.....my daughter played soccer at 3 and had a good time too!

Good Luck,

Eliyah

Not sure about the ballet class as I am trying to find a studio right now for my 5 year old daughter, but my daughter played soccer when she was 3 in Plano. I think it was the Plano Youth Soccer Association give them a call and if that's not it let me know and I will look for the info and find it for you, because they definitely had a league for 3 year olds. We had a good experience with it. The only downside was that all games were in Plano (we are in McKinney) and some games were at 8:00 or 8:30 so trying to get a then 3 year old and 3 month old dressed, fed, and in the car to make the early games was not always easy. I'm not sure where you live but McKinney leagues begin at age 4.

A lot of YMCA's have U4 (under 4) soccer. Call your local YMCA ...if there is one in your area.

As for Ballet, some cities in their rec. dept have dance classes for kids as young as 2 yrs. Call your city to find out.

When in doubt, google!
