Hey ladies! I just found out that I'm expecting a second child (DD is 15 months old) and would like some suggestions for books to read, for myself and for her. Thanks!

What can I do next?

When I was pregnant the pregnancy bible, so to speak, was What to Expect When You're Expecting. I don't know if you have already read it, but it covers just about everything. For her, go to Barnes and Noble and let her look through some books on the subject in the children's section. You can "look" before you buy. And by the way, congratulations on your pregnancy.

My all time favorite PG book (for me) was "Christ Centered Childbirth." Even if you're not a Christian, it has the best, most complete info about pregnancy, labor and childbirth. My Doula said I was the most informed client she'd ever had!
There are several good books avaliable on Amazon for your little one, I had 2 for my DS, a Richard Scarry book called "The best Christmas Ever" and another one I p/u at the 99c store of all places, but they aren't worth bragging about, he just enjoyed hearing stories about families expecting a baby. My DS LOVES anatomy so he loved my Nat'l Geographic "In the womb" video, but he was a little older (he was just over 3 when she was born) and has an almost odd facination w/ the body (I think he'll be an OB or Pedi.).

Barnes and Noble has a section about siblings in their children's dept. I know there is one by Mercer Mayer, the Berenstein Bears and Arthur all have books about new babies too.
