Hope you can help me out. We live in North Scottsdale and I am looking to take my son who is 2 1/2 to the dentist. No problems just looking to start good dental habbits. Does anyone know of a good child friendly dentist. They can be in north scottsdale or in north phoenix. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Make an apt asap because you most likely will have to wait......maybe not ;regarding the economy. KIds can start out not having any fear and they make it fun. Once your child is a little older the fear can set in,,,,and they will be ready to chase their fears away!!!!

I took my children to a pediatric dentist and they loved it. Never had a problem with them going to a dentist. Pediatric dentists are able to handle just about any type of patient.

Dr. George Christakos is great. He's just off the 101 around Pima in North Scottsdale.
I strongly recommend Dr. Pete at Carefree Smile, it's at 60th and Carefree Hwy. so I don't think it's too far from where you're looking. We moved to AZ several months ago and my 3 1/2 year old daughter had only had 2 bad experiences at her previous dentist. The dentist and his assistants were so great with her here. I scheduled my appt first so she could watch, and they explained what all the tools they were using were, what they were for, let her touch them, counted our teeth, etc. She had a much better experience and even said 'this place is fun!' It was SUCH an improvement over the last place. Their # is ###-###-####.

She and her staff are very warm, patient and caring. My son started seeing Dr. Libby at about the same age as your son. Additionally, he loves the play-area in her office, so it isn't hard to get him to go!

Dr. Richard Chaet with Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry is amazing. I actually went to him as a child and my niece and nephew currently go to him. Once my daughter is ready, she'll be going also.
