Looking for Egg-dyeing Alternative for Allergic Child

Hello,
my daughter is allergic to eggs (as well as dairy products and peanuts) and I am wondering if anyone has any ideas for an alternative to dyeing easter eggs for her. I wish there were some kind of other non-eggs eggs that you could dye but I haven't heard of that, and even though she wouldn't be eating the eggs, I don't want to chance her touching them or anything either; we don't even keep eggs in our house. So if anyone has any ideas for an alternative, let me know. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Does that mean she can't have cookies? At Wal-Mart, in the bakery area, they sell a "Cookie Egg Decorating Kit." It comes with cookies and colored frosting to decorate them with.

jello eggs are lots of fun to make. my aunt puts banana slices in them to look like the yolks. my kids love to help make them
otherwise you can pick up wooden eggs at a craft store and paint or color those with crayons.

I started a tradition last year with my 2 year old...so that I have keepsakes for years to come! I bought .99 cent wooden eggs from Hobby Lobby...Walmart has them also, and some craft paint for about .50 cents a bottle, and some watercolor paintbrushes. I let her paint the eggs as she wishes! After they dry, I wrote in permanat fine tip sharpy, the year and how old she was. Now every spring I can get them out and display her artwork, and see how it progresses!

you could paper mache...might be kinda fun to cover egg shaped balloons...or even paper mache the plastic eggs.. and then paint them or glitter them.

Jell-o has molds that you can make Jell-o eggs with. It's fun for the kids to make a few different flavors for different colored eggs.

Hi A.,
Have you seen the sleeves that you put over the eggs and then put them in boiling water and they cling to the egg? You could put them on plastic eggs filled with money or other candies that Cora would be able to eat. I don't know how old Cora is but you could also get some wooden eggs and then paint them or styrofoam eggs and cover them with beads. Hope this helps or gives you other ideas you can do. Take Care and God Bless
S.

Does something happen if she touches an egg? I've never heard of a reaction from touching a egg.

My daughter and I both HATE hard boiled eggs but we still dye them each year anyways.

What if you put rubber gloves on her from like the doctor's office?
