I delivered both of my children at Edward Hospital. It was the best experience and I was glad I was there. The OB/GYN's that I had were Dr. Chen and Dr. Carver. They are in the Spalding building at the hospital.
Good Luck,
H.
I have a wonderful OB/GYN in Elk Grove Village but being due in February and current other concerns I'm looking to switch to the more local Edwards Hospital in Naperville to give birth at and have an OB/GYN through the hospital. My doctor gave me the number for a group of OB/GYN through Dupage Medical Group.
I'm just curious about others experiences with the OB/GYNs in the medical group or experience giving birth at Edwards. This is my third pregnancy but would be my second child.
Edit: I have scheduled an appointment with Dr. Martin on July 23rd. I am very nervous about switching OBs since I do love Dr. Pozzi who is my current OB. I liked they way the OB unit at Edwrads looked but I was sure entirely of switching. I'm much more at ease knowing that everyone had such great experiences. I'll let you all know after my appointment. Thanks so much.

Like Lisa, I go to Dr. Martin in Naperville on the Edward Campus/Spalding building. We just moved here and I didn't have my first child there, but I really liked him at my annual exam. We are trying to have another baby soon, and I plan to stay with the practice and deliver at Edward b/c I've heard really good things about him and the office.
I delivered my first baby at Edwards in October. Since then, I've had two friends deliver at other hospitals and must say Edwards is one of the best hospitals to deliver at. The nurses and doctors are all super nice. My doctor is Dr. Claire Sutton out of the Spalding building. She's a family practitioner so she's my doc as well as my newborns. Good luck!!
Hi A.,
I delivered my baby girl at Edward Hospital last September. My OB/GYN is also part of Dupage Medical Group. I saw the doctors at DMG during my entire pregnancy and was very pleased with the group. You rotate through the different doctors like many practices do. Some find this to be a negative in practices like this. I found it to be a positive because I would meet each doctor and feel more comfortable during delivery.
Edward Hospital is not the closest hospital to me but I chose to deliver there because of the positive things that I had heard. My experience there was wonderful. The nurses were really friendly and attentive. I have nothing bad to say at all about my experience there.
When I am pregnant again I will definitely stay with DMG and deliver at Edward again. Let me know if you have any other specific questions.
I hope that helps!
Jen
Hi! I am a labor doula, and I have had a client at Edwards and we had a great experience there. I have another one due the end of the month that is having their baby at Edwards too.

I had a very positive experience with DuPage Medical Group throughout my pregnancy and my delivery. I would definitely recommend them. Dr. Bernardo delivered my baby and was great.
I delivered last July at Edwards (I was actually born there also!). I had a great experience. Nurses in the unit were great. My primary doc is Jospeh Martin out of the Spalding building in Naperville. I really like him. I also really like Bridget Frangella. Good luck.
My son was born at Edward in Dec 07 and I loved the hospital! I also went to the Dupage Medical Group of doctors and had loved them! You see the entire group of doctors for your appts and it's very convenient when scheduling appointments, especially around a work schedule. Depending on when you deliver, you get the doctor on call. Dr. Weeks delivered my son and he was awesome. He was actually the only dr. I didn't meet during my appts though!
Dr. Betty Hsia (DuPage Health Associates, a part of DMG) delivered all three of my daughters (1 at Hinsdale Hospital and 2 at Edwards). I love her. She takes her time to talk to you and answers any questions or concerns you might have in a way you can understand. She always puts me at ease and can crack a joke or two as well.
I preferred Edwards OB unit over Hinsdale. I thought the nurses were more attentive at Edwards.
i go to dr thomas chen out of edwards
i am sorry about your loss i too had a loss in february and am currently due feb 27 2009.
good luck on your search

I saw/deliverd both of my boys through the practice. I liked all of the doctors but by chance Dr. Bernardo delivered both boys! They do have you rotate through the different OB's at some point. I found this to be a positive because you never know who will be on call when you go into labor!
ETA: I had a positive experience at Edward also. I loved my nurses and was happy with the care and service I received there.
I delivered my daughter at Edwards August 2006. I LOVED my experience. My doctor is also a part of the Dupage Medical Group. I was not sure what to expect, but they made everything easy and as comfortable as possible. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
My husband and I will most likely not be in the area whenever baby #2 comes along and I am very sad that I will not be at Edwards.
