I know someone has also mentioned Let's talk with puppy dog. We bought them at the General Dollar store (yellow sign) and he loves them. We had about 4 or 5 well I found the ones I'm missing from EBay. For $1.50 each. Then as as an added bonus they have a puppy dog puppet it was so cute and my son loves him. That is his X-Mas stocking stuffer.

I found a cd at the library and then I bought it on Amazon.com. Its called "for the kids" and there's also a "for the kids too". Its a bunch of songs for children, some classics, some originals and all done by well known musicians. (for example, there are songs by Sara Mclaughlin, Darius Rucker, Five for Fighting, and They might be Giants) Anyway, my girls LOVE these cd's. Also, I found a local artist named Lucas Miller. His cd is called "there is a chicken on my head" His songs are silly, but educational. He calls himself the singing zoologist. Also, none of these cd's make me want to shoot myself, the songs are actually catchy and fun! I hope that helps!

I teach Pre-K and all my classes have loved Greg and Steve, Hap Palmer, and Rafi. They've been around forever and some have books that go with the songs. There's also a great math CD by Jack Hartman and Friends.

Ms.L., If you will let me know how to get in touch with you, I have one you can have. I am a grandmother of 7 . I got this CD thru my book club and it's never been open. I've been waiting for the opportunity to pass it on since my grandchildren are to old for it. I can mail it or whatever you want to do. I know you will enjoy it. Thank you and God Bless. Lucas Miller is a great CD for the kids. He plays at the library during the summer, that is how we found him. I believe you can look up his music on his website www.lucasmiller.net or his number is 1-800-755-4415. He songs are about animals but very upbeat and fun. Both my boys love them still and we have had them for a couple of years now.

My son is 23 months old and also loves Laurie Berkner. You can see her on the Noggin Channel cartoon, "Jacks Big Music Show". I also found a series of dvds called "Let's Talk With Puppy Dog". He likes these so much that he asks for Puppy. Each dvd has a subject like abc's, counting, colors, shapes, they are for children infant to 4 yrs of age. I found these at the Dollar Tree Store on S.W. Military Dr. I am very impressed with these dvd's. He's all ready trying to recite the abc's with puppy. Hope this helps you out, have a wonderul day!

Now i know my ABC's from parents (i can't find it on the internet, but got at Target)
Gaither Growing Series is wonderful Christian colelction.
My son has one of the movies and its has been his favorite for a while- best "road trip" movie!!! https://store.gaither.com/categories/Kids.html Has a list of all their videos and CDs. We have This Little Light Sing Along cd and Kids Under Construction DVD. I also have three other videos but they are on tape so we haven't watched them much. I will probably be getting some of the books and a few more dvds as christmas presents!
ETA: a lot of the disney dvds have a music cd. We just got the Jungle Book set and he loves the music to it. A lot of the movies have some fun music.

Hi L. I am a preschool teacher as well and I usually go to the library and check them out (its FREE) Good way to listen to the music before you buy. One library may not have what your looking for but you can request that they be sent to the closest one to you and you'll be set.
By the way my children really like Greg & Steve. They incorporate lots of movement and action in their songs.
Good luck to you. I'd like to know what you came up with myself keep me posted. ____@____.com

Mr. Mark is a local musician and his CD's are enjoyable for kids and adults. He works in a music department of a church and I think he is also a former teacher.
Also, CJ has great CD's with nursery rhymes and other music.

I like all of the previous suggestions. Also, I teach Kindermusik and we have so many CD's that are specifically designed for this age group. Send me an email (____@____.com) and let me know exactly what you're interested in and I can give you some suggestions. The other one I would suggest is David Chicken. My son absolutely loves his music, and parents like it too.
