go to that link and read, and also click on the Multi-Vitamins rating chart. I read this a few years ago (it's from Nutrition Action Healthletter, which is produced by the Center for Science in the Public Interest) and it changed the way I took vitamins. I currently take the Walgreens Ultra Choice, which was rated best for women. I think Shaklee came in right behind them and I used to take those multi-vitamins, but they messed with my stomach. The Walgreens ones don't do that. I also take Citracal with vitamin D. The article I linked to tells you all about what is needed and not needed at certain ages.

Good morning L.,
Good for you for getting healthier! I rep for Shaklee and can tell you that I've done the research and they are the best. There are many differences between different types of vitamins. These are from whole food which means they have actual alive enzymes that your body can absorb and use. Chemical based vitamins (think your local drugstore shelves) have no live enzymes, are harder for your body to absorb and just aren't the same. Shaklee has a team of 75 scientists on staff and their science is truly cutting edge. They do 83,000 tests on their products annually to ensure purity, potency and performance. Their standards are higher than organic. For example, something can be growing in an organic field but some countries still use leaded gasoline - so all it takes is for one car to drive by and the crops are contaminated. Still qualifies as organic and most companies don't test to know the difference. Shaklee tests each batch at every stage so they have a history of rejecting such batches from suppliers and demanding the best. First and foremost, the products can't be dangerous! I could tell you more but I'm sure you'll get a TON of responses to this :) Feel free to email me or check out my website for more info.

Good luck!

Hi L.,
I am a busy mom of two energetic kids and run a home daycare and have been taking the Vitality Pack for almost 7 years now. In addition to taking these vitamins, I have also found eating the right foods and getting a good nights rest has a profound impact on my overall health and well-being. Working at home has been a blessing for me too because I have complete control over my indoor environment and have converted my home over to safer, non-caustic products. If you want to find out more about the vitality pack, overall wellness and how to detox your home, I'd enjoy talking with you anytime.

That's great that you want to take vitamins, as women we need all we can get. Make sure you take Calcium + D it is really important. If you are having problems with your hair and nails you might want to get your thyroid checked, that definitely causes problems with your hair. I take all store brand stuff without a problem.

Hello Lisa!
I use and promote Shaklee vitamins. Shaklee has been in business for over 50 years. The do numerous tests on their raw ingredients to make sure that the best things are going into their supplements. I have found that my hair and nails are in great shape since using Shaklee supplements. My customers have made similar comments.

Most store bought vitamins cannot guarantee that what is on the label is actually in the bottle.

I would be happy to share more information with you. Shoot me an email at ____@____.com if you are interested!

Well L. you will need a lot of energy working and to keep up with the 5 year old. I am also a working mother and my family and I have been a product called Juice Plus. It's your entire servings of fruit and veggies for the days. It builds your immune system while making you feel healthy. They also have a program that your child can get their fruits and veggies in gummie form. My kids love it. they don't get sick as much as their school friends and neither do I. If you are interested in learning more about it, check out http://www.juiceplus.com. My phone number is: ###-###-#### V.. Live in NW suburbs.

L., I have found a great liquid vitamin and mineral supplement called Vemma. It is loaded with the antioxidants, vitamins and minerals you need on a daily basis. I have been taking Vemma for about two years now and it has helped with my allergies as well as not being sick in that time! They have also just released a children's version called Vemma Next which has a vegetarian source of DHA as well as all the vitamins and minerals our kids need. My daughter actually asks to take it she loves it so much. I can not reccommend a product more than these two, it gives me a peace of mind about my families health that I have never had before! We get both at www.vemmabuff.com.

Nature's Sunshine products are really good. You could look them up on the web. They have a lot of herb products as well. I could help you find what may work for you. I'm no longer a distributor so I'm not gaining anything. Just happy to share my knowledge. Shaklee is good too.
